weekly challenge | Laura Kurz & Dawn McVey
Hi everyone!
For this week's challenge, Dawn and I are challenging you to dust off your die-cut machine for some projects! Both of us used ours for September's Double Scoop Gallery and we'd love to see what you can do with yours this week.
Dawn used items from both the Double Scoop card kit and the Bubblegum add-on for this card, as well as dies from PaperTrey Ink along the bottom and on her main accent.
I used my cameo to create this quote for my daughter's Project Life spread:
(supplies - "love" stamp, doily, wood stars : Studio Calico Double Scoop Scrapbook Kit; die cutting machine: Silhouette Cameo; card stock: Studio Calico More White)
We can't wait to see what you come up with using your die cut machine! Share your new project for this challenge in the SC gallery, then link up your project here in this post by September 30th to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop!
This is what I created based on your challenge with some bits of the latest kits: http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/98504-you-had-me-at-hello

I love Laura's layout - I think that's the best thing I've seen done with pictures in awhile

I have a Silhouette but never use it (not even sure it's hooked up!), so I pulled out my archaic Epic 6 and cranked out a few diecuts (literally): the scallop frame, butterfly, and heart:
