Sunday Sketch | BethAnn

This week, we asked Beth Ann (SC username Beth Ann) to share her take on our sketches. Beth Ann is an amazingly inspirational member of our community - we love seeing her gorgeous projects in her gallery and her encouraging posts on our message board. - and we couldn't wait to see her work for this post!

Here's a look at this week's sketches - our layout sketch is based on a layout from Maggie Holmes

Our card sketch comes from Ashley Cannon Newell's gallery :

Beth Ann immediately put the scrapbook sketch to use!

(Supplies - Double Scoop scrapbook kit)

I was excited to see that the sketch was based on a page of Maggie Holmes;. I lover her style and how it is structured but free at the same time. I used blocks of patterned paper and a strip cut as a banner to house my title. Then I added handwritten journaling as Maggie always does.

We loved how Beth Ann used larger photos, and then balanced them by sizing up her title as well. Her page is bright, happy, and just plain perfect. Thank you for sharing your work with us, Beth Ann! You can see more of Beth Ann's work in her Studio Calico gallery

Now it's your turn! Make a project with using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Leave  us a link to your project by October 14th  in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop.
