weekly challenge | Gayatri Murali

Hello everbody! I have a challenge for you this week. I want you to stretch your stamp set from the kits. The challenge for you is to use a stamp set with three different techniques.

Here is what I did. I have use the gorgeous stamp set from Athens Add-on Card Kit from October to make three different cards using three different techniques.

Here is my first card.

In this card I stamped the images on pattern paper and cut them out. Technique used is Paper Piecing. Here is the close of the paper pieced flowers and leaves.

In the second card, I have used masking and colouring as the technique.

I stamped images on scrap paper and cut them out. These become the masks which I have used to stamp the cluster of flowers and leaves. Gorgeous cluster using individual stamps and their cut outs. They then coloured using copics.

On my third card, I have used watercolouring as my technique using the same stamp set.

This card is freestyle card using the same stamp set. I have stamped the images using masking technique but coloured the images using watercolours. I have also used the watercolour to spatter. Accented with the gorgeous neon sequins.

As a bonus here is another card using the same watercolour technique. But not defined watercolouring.

On this card I have watercoloured the card front and when dry I have stamped the flowers and leaves using masking technique. I have completed the card with coordinating pattern paper, glitter button and lace from the kit as well.

(Supplies: Athens Add-on Card Kit. Gold Glitter dots from the Antiquary Card KitWatercolour paper, Copic Markers, Neon Sequins from Studio Calico, WatercoloursVersafine Black Ink)

Now it is your turn. Make a project (or several!) using a stamp set and three different techniques. Share your new project for this challenge in the SC gallery, then link up your project here in this post by October 28th to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop!

So glad I had time to play along. My three techniques were heat embossing, paper piecing and rock-n-roll.
