Sunday Sketch I Ewa
This week, Ewa (SC username, itisallaboutscrap) is sharing her take on our sketches! Ewa's work is artsy and fun and her entire gallery is just beautiful. We love her contributions to our gallery and couldn't wait to see what she'd do with this inspiration.
First, let's look at this week's sketches - our layout comes from Tina Aszmus' Oh Shoot :
And our card sketch comes from Jenn Picard's Remember card:
Here's how Ewa interpreted the sketches:
First, I must say that I fell in love this layout by lifelovepaper. To do this layout, I used only papers and embellishments from Blue Note Scrapbook Kit, Blue Note Project Life Kit and Add On Sinatra. I duplicated my photo and brightened it to created different tones of grays. I matched color papers with papers from Blue Note, so I used red, blue and gray color scheme. I used also sewing machine to sew embellishments in several places.
Supplies: BLUE NOTE SCRAPBOOK KIT - White Cardstock (American Crafts); lot of patterned papers from this kit (Rewind (Webster's Pages); Hello Hello (Studio Calico); Pinata (Basic Grey); North Star (Studio Calico)), White Star Overlays (Webster's Pages), 1/2 Yard Denim Ribbon (May Arts), Label Die Cuts (Hello Forever for Studio Calico), Star Puffy Stickers (Studio Calico), Watercolor Diamond Die Cuts (Hello Forever for Studio Calico); BLUE NOTE PROJECT LIFE KIT - PL Cards from the kit, Orange Washi (Studio Calico),
Badge (Emily Merritt for Studio Calico), Clear Tag Circles (Chic Tags), SINATRA - Neoretrodraw Multi-Colored Rubons (Studio Calico); Wood Veneer Tiny Emoticons (Studio Calico); Sweet Spots Enamel Stickers (Lily Bee); 2x2 Stamp Set (Hello Forever for Studio Calico); Patterned Paper Sunset (Allison Kreft for Webster's Pages); PRINTABLE JOURNAL CARDS & SHAPES - Blue Note Printable//In a Creative Bubble; Blue Note Printable//Hello Forever; Gesso, Ecolines, Magic glue; 3D sticker foams
In making the cards I used also only Blue Note Scrapbook Kit, Blue Note Project Life Kit and Add On Sinatra. I created the tag myself – I printed out on paper stamps from Blue Note Project Life Kit + Digital Stamps Coordinating Blank Cuts and cut out the shape of tag. I rotated sketch by 90 degrees and followed the sketch. I tried to use warm colors, so I used a little ecolines to add color. I cut and glued with 3D sticker foams several elements from JOURNAL PRINTABLE CARDS & SHAPES to give card a bit of humor.
Supplies: BLUE NOTE SCRAPBOOK KIT - White Cardstock (American Crafts); Patterned Paper: Sleigh Bell Trail (Basic Grey), North Star (Studio Calico); White Star Overlays (Webster's Pages); 1/2 Yard Denim Ribbon (May Arts); BLUE NOTE PROJECT LIFE KIT - Orange Washi; PRINTABLE JOURNAL CARDS & SHAPES - Blue Note Printable//In a Creative Bubble; Blue Note Printable//Hello Forever; Gesso, Yellow baker’s twine, Ecolines, Magic glue; 3D sticker foams;
