Start to Finish video | Carissa Wiley
Hi everyone! I’m so thrilled you stopped by today!
I have a really fun card project to share with you today using the fabulous new Office Hours Card Kit from Studio Calico. And I’m thrilled to be sharing it in video tutorial form!
When I heard the name of the kit for this month, I thought the papers would be full of ledgers and text type papers. Boy was I wrong…and so pleasantly surprised. This kit is bursting with spring! It’s been very springy here in California since January. But I know a lot of you have been stuck in the polar vortex and snow up to your ears. This kit is sure to bring some spring sunshine right in to your crafting space.
I think you’ll find this card perfect for spring as well. Check out how I created it, from start to finish, in the video below.
I used the umbrella from the stamp set as the focal point of my card. I’ve added life to it by using foam adhesive to create some dimension. I finished it off with not one, but two thick coats of glossy accents to give it even more dimension.
I’ve loved playing with this kit. I can’t wait to see how all of you will use this kit over in the Studio Calico gallery. I’m sure we’ll be seeing all sorts of fun cards and projects featuring the adorable umbrella and banner stamps!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Thanks for sharing - the card is lovely! I was wondering what punches you used for the tag enforcement? My circle punches aren't that small and the smaller sizes look very useful!

I just got my kit today and am stumped as to what the two acrylic? sheets are and what to use them for? Any ideas as to what they are will be appreciated. This tutorial was great and I do like the hint of using the paint brush in the Mr. Huey's. I guess we could do that with all our mists and that opens a whole lot of experimenting.
Of all the monthly kits I get, I have to say, these are disappointing. My first kit came with the items just thrown into the "pizza" box, now they have a folder, but if it was raining and these were left on my doorstep, it would be mush when I got home. The stamps are cute, but the title is so off for an umbrella and clouds. Office? I do love their inks and got the color theory ones.

I really like your card and how you explained the steps in making it with the Office Hours Card kit elements. I too was wondering what punches you used for the tag enforcement. Thanks for sharing. K

@SewingBella and @karen.kirby1 I believe it used a 1/4 and 1/2 inch circle punch. These are some old Stampin Up punches that I have. You can also use a crop a dile for the smallest circle and a 1/2 or 3/4 circle punch for the outer punch. Hope that helps!
