start to finish video | Allison Waken

I love that the Studio Calico kits have great color schemes that can be mixed to use for different purposes. The Bluegrass Farm kit is obviously not a full Winter or Snow themed kit but I loved using it for this "Frozen" themed layout! The kit printables are fun to collect and often add just the right embellishments to finish off a page.

Supplies: kits - Bluegrass Farm, digital - Printable by In A Creative Bubble, Printable by Hello Forever, Cut File by Paige Evans, mist - Calico Shine, Opaque White, other -Tiny Attacher

It's funny because I did a winter layout earlier this week with basically the same color scheme! Great minds think alike I suppose ;) BTW I love your page :)

Here's my take on a the winter theme layout using Bluegrass farm kit

Fabulous LO! How long did this take you in real time? I find my LO's to be very structured so it was helpful for me to see you making this with so many layers and not worrying about lining things up perfectly.

Beautiful! It's amazing how you so quickly chose your layers and elements. I know the video was on "speed dial", but you stuck with your initial choices. Quite the inspiration! Thank you!

@ Penny B. I had just over 20 minutes of video plus dry time for the mist.

@DjC yes I tend to stick with what I've pulled out usually adding things I hadn't planned on (like the wood piece) but I think that's the fun thing about using so many layers, even if it doesn't work where you originally had it, it will probably work somewhere on the layout!

Beautiful and I love the layers of patterned paper. I will definitely try this on my next layout.

I never thought to utilize staples with layering like that - great tip! Where do you see yourself storing this page? Project Life 12x12 page, a catch-all album, design team album, vacation, etc.? What a fun memory and a great layout! :)

@kriebelb great question! This will go in a catch-all album since I plan on making a handbook of the whole trip and will definitely include this photo in there. I haven't decided what I'm doing for my PL yet

Love the misting in white on the woodgrain paper for a subtle pattern. Definitely stealing that!

love it, I use staples a lot in mine to hold my base together, gives much more freedom.
