Two Page Layouts | Walden
Sometimes a story is just too big for a layout. Whether you want to include multiple photos, a long story or just need more space to try a new technique, sometimes a two page layout is the way to go. We've enlisted a handful of our Creative Team members to take on the challenge of making more two page layouts this year - be sure to follow them for more inspiration!
My favorite way to document a trip is to create a two-page layout with a full-size photo and multiple small photos to balance it out. I simply used some digital stamps on the left page, and on the right, I created a gallery of frames using this month's kits and add-ons. The pale grey color scheme and the theme unites the pages.
Adventure by Natalie Elphinstone:
I started this layout after falling in love with the 'Today' card out of the Baker Bridge add on. It perfectly matched the sentiment of the 'Adventure' digital stamp which I converted into a cutting file and made it my title. In wanting to match the colours from the card I turned to my Gelatos and put them to good use scribbling, blending and splattering all over these pages. I finished it off by adding a bunch of photos (SEVEN!) from our recent beach holiday. Doing a double layout like this helps capture the whole essence of the week rather than doing lots of separate pages.
Christmas '13 by Kelly Noel:
I love this photo of my three boys from last Christmas Eve and even though it was taken super late and the lighting was horrible, I knew I wanted to use it as a full size photo. I created this two page layout as an intro of sorts to my holiday scrapbook album. I'm hoping to create more moment type layouts with the rest of our photos from Christmas and add them in behind this one. The Pine Hill add-on was perfect for creating a festive layout.
When started scrapping I always made double LO's. But have gone to single when I started doing my project 365.. Time to go back! So many more photos get included.

I too did so many double page LOs 'back in the day'. I like the new modern twist of doing a mix of small and large pics!
