Weekly Challenge | Go Transparent with Jen

This week, our member Jen (username jenjeb), is challenging you to incorporate a transparent/clear element onto your next project. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Jen here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her!

Hello SC friends! I am excited to be hosting this Week’s Challenge for you! This will be my 8th year participating in Ali Edwards’ December Daily. It is my most favorite project to do all year long. I’ve been loving all the transparent/clear pages that I’ve been seeing in minibooks and Project Life spreads. It inspired me to create one for my Intro page for this year’s December Daily. I love that when you open the minibook, you can peek at the pages behind. I’ve been hoarding this older Studio Calico Handbook 6 pocket page protector and I knew it was perfect for this. I gathered supplies like tags, sequins, wood veneers and small embellishments. Now the fun part: filling in the pockets with all sorts of scrappy goodness. To keep everything inside the pockets, I sewed down along the edges. My challenge to you this week is to use any type of transparent/clear element in your next project. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Jen's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by December 22nd and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the December 27th Layout of the Week post.

My favorites are these transparencies I used to adhere some cuts I made with Kal's digital stamps from last year. I have several in my album, but this is the only one that is on a completed layout. I wanted to be able to add another photo to the 6x8 page with lights later.
