Watercolor Your Cards | Lisa Spangler

I love to watercolor. I wish I could just sit and watercolor all day long. I love the magic in it -- how you never really know how the colors will blend together and how they change as they dry.

Today I'm going to share with you a really easy watercolor technique that uses Studio Calico Color Theory inks and the stamps in the Cirque Card Kit. This technique is a great way to get more from your supplies! Check it out:

In the video I mentioned that I like to listen to happy music while I'm coloring. I've been on a country kick lately! I've been playing T-R-O-U-B-L-E by Travis Tritt a ton -- describes me perfectly. HA. We're getting ready to go on a little Valentine's Day getaway and I've got Take a Back Road by Rodney Atkins on our driving playlist -- can't wait to put a little gravel in my travel. Do you have any faves? I'd love to hear! I've got a pretty crazy playlist with all different kinds of music so hit me! And tag your gallery projects using this watercolor technique in the comments section! I'd love to see them!

I can't wait to give this card to a friend of mine who never fails to lift me up! xo

Supplies: Studio Calico Cirque Card Kit; Color Theory Inks: Something Blue, Deja Blue, Lime Light, Blush Crush, Orange County, Sunny Day; Permanent black ink such as the Versafine Onyx Black ink pad

Thank you so much for sharing your video! What a great way to use the Color Theory inks. When I saw the sneak peak, I couldn't wait to get this stamp set. I think your card truly represents the kit. It's just awesome.

Beautiful card! Thank you for the demonstration. My 19 year old daughter and I both like Hunter Hayes a lot so I highly recommend him! I joke and say he scrapbooks with me because I frequently listen to his music while doing so! LOL
