LOTW | Kelly

Our Layout of the Week, Books, comes from our member Kelly (username kellyxenos). Kelly's beautiful layout caught everyone's eye in the member gallery with its unique photo, fun size and creative use of the Odyssey labels! To keep up with Kelly and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC!

Thank you all so much for liking my layout and choosing me for Layout of the Week! The Studio Calico community is amazing and I'm honored to have inspired some of you to use the light blue die cut labels from the Odyssey Project Life® kit. I've been wanting to create this layout for awhile and it all came together when I pulled these labels out of my kit. I read 22 books in 2014 (more than I have read in my entire life probably) and I wanted to list them all with a photo of some of the books. The layout is 6"x12" and I used Studio Calico gold foil chipboard hearts and stars to highlight some of my favorites. The title "2014 Books" was stamped with Kelly Purkey's Clearly Kelly Outline Letters and I finished off the layout with some washi tape at the top and bottom. I think these labels would be perfect for any layout with a list!!

Visit Kelly's blog to see more of her amazing projects.

Congratulations Kelly! More members added this project to their inspiration books for the week of 3.16 - 3.23 than any other, making it our layout of the week! You have won a $10 gift card to be used on any new purchase at Studio Calico.

Want a chance to win next week? We love our creative community, and invite you to be a part of it. Share your work in the Studio Calico member gallery, and don't forget to take the time to add your favorites to your own inspiration book.

WINNERS:

We have a new set of winners - CONGRATS!! If your name is on this list, you'll be getting an email from us with info about your prize. Thank you again to all who take part in our challenges and giveaways!

The recollections brand at michaels is actually the American Crafts POW as long as it says POW, cause there is chunkier glitter paper too. Most of the recollections is manufactured by AC (which I was shocked to learn) our michaels in calgary just unpacked a tonne of recollections that is identical to lots of the SC Christmas products, veneer trees, snowflakes, badges etc (but from last years Christmas collection) I also bought the detail gold embossing powder by recollections (cause everyone else is out haha) it's exactly the same color as the Zing gold SO nice :) hope that helps :)

SCRAAAAPLIIIIIFT!! haha. But seriously, I love this idea! I have been trying to figure out how I wanted to use my labels--and I already keep track of what books I read (both in my scrapbook and on Goodreads...find me!). This just makes so much sense AND I can write out the labels as I go and just put them on my layout one at a time...PERFECT!

    Thank you for this! :)
