Video | Canada Day Themed Project with Marcy Penner

Here in Canada we celebrate our country's birthday on July 1st. There's face painting, free food, music and other celebrations that take place on Main st. in my town... but we're total homebodies. Even still we celebrate in our own way... even if that means dressing up in goofy glasses from the grocery store.

In this video I'll take you through a Canada-themed page focusing on some of the Canada items currently in the Studio Calico shop. We'll talk about printed vs. digital items and how to use them in new ways. We also talk a little bit about straying from traditional flag colors when making patriotic pages.

I hope you enjoy it!

Supply List: patterned paper, word stickers, arrow label - Galileo Scrapbook kit; wood button, washi tape - Jupiter; paper clip, enamel dots - Shooting Star; ticket - Milky Way; journaling card - Canada Day card set; Canada Day printable journaling cards; Galileo Canada stamp; Tiny Attacher; ink - Flamingo

Love your LO as usual. I'll be doing a Canada page soon because we visited Canada recently. In fact, I shopped at the local scrapbooking store across from Walmart in Winkler. I noticed on your BPC profile you live in Winkler. Awesome!

Love this neutral layout. We just celebrated the 4th of July and didn't dress in red, white or blue. I like how you showed that we don't have to use those colors to capture a patriotic day or celebration.

Is that map correct? When did Athabasca become a province?
