Tutorial: Thinking of You Craft Die | Aga Malyszek

Hello, everyone! One of my favourite things from the Studio Calico kits are craft dies. I think they are always a great touch to any project! Today I would like to share a quick start to finish process of how I created a simple card made with "Thinking of You" Stamp + Craft die set by Jasmine Jones, an add-on from the Brimfield Stationery kit.

Step 1: I started by creating the background with circles stamped in Coral Bay. Note: To get lighter shades of colours, I used a technique called second generation stamping. I first stamped off stamps on scrap paper and then on my project without re-inking the stamp.

Step 2: Next, I added leaves and small flowers stamped in Yes Peas ink.

Step 3: Then, I added some little stars in the Well Red shade.

Step 4: When I had my background ready, I added some delicate splatters of black ink.

Step 5: Next, I die-cut two flowers out of white cardstock.

Step 6: And painted them using watercolours.

Step 7: As a final touch, I glued the die cuts down and stamped the sentiment with black.

That’s it! I do hope you feel inspired to get out your favourite dies and give this technique a go!

Supplies: ink – Color Theory Inky Black, Coral Bay, Yes Peas, Well Red; stamps & die – Thinking of You Stamp + Craft die set by Jasmine Jones; other – Mister Huey's Watercolor Set
