Tutorial: Creating a Gift Card Box with the Thankful Stamp Set with Dana Fleckenstein

Hi everyone, Dana here with a step-by-step for a decorated pillow box using the new Wink Wink kits and add-ons. I decorated the box fall style to gift a gift card - it's a simple idea to add a handmade touch to an otherwise fairly unpersonal gift. Let's get started with the projects!

Step 1 - Die cut a pillow box from white cardstock. I happened to have a craft die but you can use a premade box or use your Silhouette Cameo to cut one with a free file.

Step 2 - Go through your Color Theory Inks and pick a color scheme. I was inspired by a beautiful pattern in the Wink Wink 4x6 paper pad and therefor picked a color combo ranging from bright yellow to red and lavender.

Step 3 - Pick a sentiment from the "Stamp + Craft Die: Thankful" set and stamp it all over the pillow box die cut. When you go from one color to another, you can overlap the colors in middle of the stamp by first inking with the lighter color, then partially inking it with the darker color.

Step 4 - Measure the width of your pillow box to estimate the size of your decor.

Step 5 - Pick one or two patterns from the Wink Wink paper pad and cut two leaves from it with your Silhouette Cameo and the digital versions of your stamp set.

Step 6 - Sew the leaves down on the pillow box. Leave a bit of thread hanging on the top of the box.

Step 8 - Die cut a small tag with the "Craft Die: Tags" from orange cardstock and stamp it with the "For You" sentiment and an acorn from "Stamp + Craft Die: Thankful".

Step 9 - Tie the tag onto the pillow box using the loose ends from your sewing.

Step 10 - Assemble the box with the a strip of glue tape and slide your gift card in.
