Weekly Challenge | CristinaC

This week, our member Cristina (CristinaC), wants you to create a project using leftover packaging. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Cristina to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Hello! It's Cristina here and I am happy to be here on the blog with this week's challenge. On my page, I used the backing sheet of the kraft stickers from the Wink Wink scrapbook kit to build a grid. The small squares inspired the design of my layout - they were perfect to fit several photos of my trip, and then I filled in the rest with patterned paper, handwritten journaling and stamped images. I find that a grid design makes it easy to include multiple photos on a layout without feeling too crowded.

My challenge for you this week is to make a project using some leftover packaging and let it inspire the design/feel of your project. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Cristina's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by December 21st to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the December 26th Layout of the Week post.

I used the outer edge of the camera chip board pieces from Wink Wink SB to make a shaker element for my layout.

I used one of the paper folders from the SC kits, from before the mesh bags. I have quite a few! http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/180378-good-times
