Sunday Sketch | Geralyn Sy

This week, our Scrapbook sketch features pretty embellishments, our Documenter sketch uses an embellishment-filled pocket and our Card sketch features a pretty sentiment. Get creative and be sure to share your projects here with us! We can't wait to see what you create! Today, Geralyn Sy shares her take on the Card sketch.

This week, our Scrapbook layout comes from XOXO by Lisa Truesdell:

This week, our Documenter layout comes from Nope by Ginny Hughes:

This week, our card comes from Spring! by Carson Riutta:

I loved how Carson used visual triangle to arrange her embellishments on the card, and used that to inspire my own project. I kept it simple and followed the card sketch closely by using the pattern builder stamp for my background and a sentiment in the middle, then using chipboard embellishments to form a visual triangle.

Supplies: kits - Savannah Scrapbook Kit, Savannah Documenter Kit, Gryphon Tea Room; Stamps - Pattern Builder Stamp; Ink - Color Theory Gray Area

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by February 29 in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 gift card to Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the March 5 Layout of the Week post.

I used the Documenter sketch for the top half of the mini-album page on the left. LAST pages of my 100 Books album!

And a layout from the page sketch. It took 3 packs of the Puffy Alphas to make my title. Why are there 3 "U's" and only one "N" in each set? A better question is, WHY do I have 3 sets????
