Sunday Sketch | Anna-Maria Wolniak
This week, our Scrapbook sketch features a gorgeous screenprint, our Documenter sketch uses two cards and our Card sketch features layered elements. Get creative and be sure to share your projects here with us! We can't wait to see what you create! Today, Anna-Maria Wolniak shares her take on the Scrapbook sketch.
This week, our Scrapbook layout comes from Here by Catherine Davis:
This week, our Documenter layout comes from The Great Egg Hunt by Jenn Picard:
This week, our card comes from Easter by Cristina:
I was inspired by the Catherine's layout the first time I saw it in the sneak gallery. When I got the chance to create my own interpretation based on this project I was so, soooo happy! But just after the first excitement, I started to think, how can I change ANYTHING here?! This is stunning, I can't change nothing! That was a huge problem. Finally, I decided to work among subtle shades of grey and warm white. Catherine's work is based on a bold contrast so I moved the contrast into the lyric layer (hustle is definitely something opposite to the 'stay at home' phrase, right?). I left the multiple leaves print (because this is outstanding and I can't imagine the design of this sketch without it) and changed the orientation of the photos. In my opinion, this week's scrapbook sketch is challenging! Have fun and paste the links to your projects below this post.
Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by March 14 in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 gift card to Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the March 19 Layout of the Week post.
Thank you Cristina for a great sketch to follow.
