Member Challenge | emma_kw
This week, our member Emma wants you to create a title using a mixed alpha. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Emma in the member gallery to see more of her work.
Hi everyone! Emma here and I'm so excited to be sharing this week's challenge with you all!
This page was actually created for one of @PaigeEvans lessons at Big Picture Classes. I'm a huge fan of Paige's classes because they get me thinking outside the box and using so much of my stash that I normally wouldn't! The main focus of this page is the title, I think it grabs your attention which then draws you in to look at the rest of the page :) It's also catchy wording (and who doesn't like something cute and catchy for their title, hehe) - title's are one of the trickiest things for me on a page! The sparkly gold thickers really make the title pop but what I really love about it is the mixed alpha. It's just that little bit different to all my other pages and I really like it.
So my challenge to all of you is to create a title using mixed alpha! You don't have to stick with thickers, you could use die-cuts, stickers, chipboard (or a combination of them all to really mix it up!). I can't wait to see what you create!
Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Emma's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by May 30 to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the June 4 Layout of the Week post.

This was a bit of a stretch for me, but I like the way it turned out. I used some gold glitter and white glitter Thickers: http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/189599-hello-sunshine

Started this one twice and finally went with a mixed alpha title on a large 12x12 picture. I love this technique.
