LOTW | Laetitia & Eyoung

Our Layout of the Week, F Like Friends, comes from our member Laetitia (username By_Laeti). Laetitia's beautiful layout stood out in the member gallery with its simple grid design and soft color palette. To keep up with Laetitia and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC!

Here's what Laetitia has to say about her layout:

Not knowing which photo to choose from this nice group of photos, I decided to include all three images on this layout. I love white space, so I created a simple grid with my photos leaving plenty of bright white space around my photos. I selected the papers that went along great with the photos. I stuck several papers in the center of the layout, forming a rectangle. I also added a piece of tissue paper. Before gluing the pictures, I added a small tag from Studio Calico. I then added some stitching and a few embellishments. On the bottom of the layout, I adhered strips of paper by adding 2 small stickers and some sewing. And finally, some ink splatters finished the page.

Congratulations Laetitia! More members added this project to their inspiration books for the week of 7.12 - 7.18 than any other, making it our Layout of the Week! You have won a $10 gift card to be used on any new purchase at Studio Calico.

This week, we're playing catch-up and would like to feature last week's Layout of the Week as well! This layout, Dream Steps, comes from our member, Eunyoung (username EyoungLee). Eunyoung's layout is so "dreamy" with it's soft white tone on tone look with a touch of vellum. The white background contrasts beautifully with her bright photo and pops of color throughout the layout. To keep up with Eyoung and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC or on her blog.

Here's what Eunyoung has to say about her layout:

Thanks for choosing my scrapbook layout, 'Dream Steps' as a Layout of the Week. This is a clean and simple layout. I mainly used star shaped dies. I used four different sized dies for my layout. As I created this page, I imagined that I walked On THE MILKY WAY. :) When I traveled the desert in India with my younger sister, I've seen the Milky Way!!!! It's so beautiful! Because there were countless number stars in the sky, I felt dizzy. I often imagine a scene (a full page) to be in a harmony with photo & supplies. It's a kind of a story that I want to tell you with my photo. For my layout, I die cut star shapes and added machine stitching on them, because I love the texture of stitching on the paper. I added the title with two different alphabet Thickers. It's a fun way to mix different alphabet Thickers. I hope you'll enjoy this and thank you again!

Congratulations Eunyoung! More members added this project to their inspiration books for the week of 7.5- 7.11 than any other, making it our Layout of the Week! You have won a $10 gift card to be used on any new purchase at Studio Calico.
