Member Challenge | Paper Puzzle with Anastasia

This week, our member  Anastasia (user goodthings88) is challenging you to grab your scissors and create a patterned paper puzzle! Hello, hello! This is Anastasia with a layout featuring a happy patterned paper puzzle in the shape of a heart. The photo was taken at a super fun bubble festival we went to with my daughter. We were jumping and smiling all day, so I wanted to translate that happy moments into page that's just as cheerful. You can probably tell that I had a "Silhouette Cameo look" on my mind. This is a good idea if you like the "outlined border" collage, but don't have the actual machine to created it with. Well, here's a trick to achieve the look visually. Pick your paper of choice (this is a good chance to use scraps here!) and trim out equally sized squares. Then cut the squares in half diagonally to create triangles. Arrange them into a heart, keeping a little border in between each one. You can also skip the the border and put them close to each other. If you choose to use bright colors and busy patterns, I recommend converting your photos into black and white to balance out the overall look. I chose to include one larger photo in the center, but you can play around with the idea and swap a few paper triangles for photos here and there to create a more embedded collage. Add a few small embellishments and a title to the page to finish it off.
