Using the Lost River Documenter Kit With Mandie Pierce

Hi, all! I am here today to share a new Documenter spread I made using the September Lost River kit. I loved everything about this kit. Even though I live in South Florida, the mountains and lakes are my FAVORITES. One of the things I loved about this kit was the versatility of the cards. I'm sure you didn't think, "Beach!" when you first saw the kit. I wouldn't have either. I love that so many of the cards have everyday uses on the other side. And the colors? They are great for all subject matter. So, I took this fall-geared kit and made a very summery, bright beach spread.

I'm sure this "Great Outdoors" card is intended to be used to document a lake, but it fit so well in my beach spread. My photo was just a touch too large on the "Currently" card, so I covered the days of the week and used the yellow as an anchor at the bottom.

I cheated just a little here. I used the rubber flip flops from the Pool Party documenter kit on this striped card, which was another card that lent itself well to my summery theme. The oranges are perfect there! The "hip hip hooray" stamp is from this month's Skeleton stamp set by One Little Bird.

I hope that you got ideas for thinking outside the kit box (or bag, as the case may be)! Until next time!
