LOTW | Penny

Our Layout of the Week, Sort Of Autumn, comes from our member Penny (username penny). Penny was inspired by one of our Sunday Sketches to create this beautiful fall grid based layout. We love how she used last year's Canyonlands kits! To keep up with Penny and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC.

Here's what Penny has to say about her layout: 

I am a big fan of the Sunday Sketches! They inspire me, motivate me, and sometimes nudge me out of whatever rut I'm in. The 11/13/16 sketch based on @CatherineDavis' layout was right up my alley - a grid. But I wanted to change the heart shape to something else. Then I saw @MandieLou's page inspired by the sketch and knew I wanted to make a layout about fall in a warm climate. I remembered that the gorgeous leaves in last year's Canyonlands kits were a perfect substitute for the hearts in the grid, and the rest of my leftovers in the kits finished out the page. The alphas are from the kit's Redstone add-on, but everything else is from the Scrapbook and Documenter kits.
