Using the Cypress Grove Documenter Kit with Mandie Pierce

This Documenter spread is truly a mix of the Cypress Grove main kit + its add-ons. I loved all of the die cuts from the Redwood add-on kit. They quickly became a feature on this spread. When I saw the little child throwing a snowball, I knew I needed to use that one! My only issue with that particular piece was that it is transparent. I trimmed down a 4" x 6" card from the main Documenter kit to use as a base with the die cut. I thought the "These are the days" phrase at the bottom of the card went well with my theme. I also added a bit of patterned paper to fill in the bottom part of the card. I tend to only use a few 4" x 6" cards, so I often end up trimming them down to 3" x 4".

I used stitching and staples on the cards to give them a bit more dimension and texture. I also fussy cut a couple of trees from the patterned paper in the Redwood add-on to add a little extra touch.

I love using stamps on my layouts, and I really love layering different stamps. I used the "documented" stamp from the Memory stamp set and the "memories in the making" stamp from the set in the Juniper add-on. I really liked the way they fit together, along with the star sticker from the Redwood add-on.

Love this! I have the Redwood kit too but we've hardly had any cold weather this year. What ink do you use to stamp on pictures? It looks really good.
