I've been talking to Kennon and already people are refreshing the kit pages at 45 minutes prior to presale. PLEASE do not do this, even at time of reveal. Everything will go live at the exact time, at 12:00pm EST. There is no need to refresh over and over and over again. It adds a ton of load to our server, which makes the pages load slowly for everyone, and could potentially cause a crash.
We've put this message up before when we were on the old site, but because we loaded items one by one, I understand why people were refreshing over and over. Now, there should be no reason for that. Just wait till presale time and navigate to the page you need. It will be there, no refreshing needed.
At about 11:59/12:00 I got a message saying that the "site was having a couple issues, so try to refresh in a few seconds"; I got that message twice before I was able to get to the store.
hee hee - this reminds me of trying to tell my son and husband that hitting the lit elevator button again, and again and again will not make it come any sooner :)
I did have to refresh after all, because when the presale link appeared and I clicked on it, I got a white page telling me to refresh. Can't disobey the white page, right? ;-)
Please help us out and don't refresh.

@kristin - if it says to refresh, then it's permissible ;) kennon put that message there, so he'll have to deal with it! ha!
we'll have a larger server next month, didn't realize with the new site exactly what we needed until today, so that should help all the way around
Did not know this was an issue! I had a couple of 'failures to open' so did hit refresh a few times, sorry ;(

Oops, sorry Im guilty of that. I was on my IPhone and didnt know it affected the site. I will know for next time.
