I'm reading Little Women right now as part of the Louisa Challenge. I just started my new Devotional for 2012. And I'm reading The Wars of the Roses by Alison Weir.
My goals -- on goodreads I set a goal of 50 books. I'm doing the Louisa challenge and I'm seeking to do more devotional and bible reading (should be easy with my new bible study group!)
I am reading the World Without End by Ken Follet. I really liked the Pillars of the Earth, and I'm enjoying this one even more. I'm planning to read 11-22-63 next. I would like to read a book a week, but that fails out when I choose all these 1000+ pagers! I'm not really sure what I'm going to read after that. I have a friend who moved to the west coast and she and I have been reading the same books and doing facebook chats about them -- which has been fun. We just finished the Hunger Games series.
I'm reading Out of Oz by Gregory Maguire. I'm liking it a lot more than the last two. Wicked was so good, but he lost me after that. This one is interesting so far...
I'm reading 11/22/63 too just started yesterday and loving it so far. Mygoodreads goal is 10 books this year as I failed my goal of 20 last year- I was close though!
I'm reading 11/22/63 too but am going really slow (I started on the 6th Dec) but think I will finish this week, I am finding it OK but I think if I knew more about American history I might like it more.
My reading goal for this year is 35 (because that's how old I will be in May LOL) it seems like a lot when you see how long the current book I'm reading is taking but usually I go through a book in a week and a half or there abouts.
I HIGHLY recommend the other series by Suzanne Collins, the Overlander series. It's YA -- but I absolutely, positively LOVED it. I liked it more than Hunger Games!
i love this thread. i have not got a book on the go right now but i love the idea of having a reading goal for the year. i think the next book i will take off of my stack will be divisadero by michael ondaatje. i do have a lovely new edition of little women though so maybe that will be it.
I'm currently reading The Distant Hours by Kate Morton for our book club. Interesting, but hasn't "grabbed" me yet. I want to read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close soon as well. I haven't set an official goal for reading, as I didn't meet my 50 goal last year (totally blaming the giving birth thing...), but I'd like to read at least 30 if I can.
I don't have any reading goals, I just read what I want when I want. Currently I'm reading The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Zafron. I'm on good ready as well if you want to friend me Joyce Casaldi
I'm reading Robert Kaplan's Monsoon, about politics in the Indian Ocean--sort of a good political/non-fiction/travel read.
I also have the newest book in the Isabel Dalhousie series by Alexander McCall Smith (light fluffy reading), Cold Comfort Farm (which I've always wanted to read), and Geraldine Brook's Year of Wonders.
I assigned new books in three of my classes this spring, so I'll also be reading piles of political science, but I'm guessing you're not into that! :) :)
Oh I love this thread. My goal is to read 18 books this year (or about 1 every 3 weeks). I have a huge list of books that I want to read so I had to narrow it down.
I am currently reading "The Other Queen" by Phillipa Gregory - I really enjoy historical fiction, but will read pretty much anything.
i got a kindle for christmas, so i'm really wanting to read a lot this year! right now i'm reading the hunger games...started it on my cruise in dec, but didn't have much time to read...hoping to really get into it now that things are a lot less hectic ;)
What are you reading?
Got any reading goals for the new year?

I just finished Super Sad True Love Story. I listened to the book on tape.
I'm anxiously awaiting John Green's new book, The Fault in Our Stars, later this month.
My book club is reading The Year We Disappeared. It's okay - not great.
I have to admit, I'm having a bit of a hard time finding adult titles (I read lots of YA) that really interest me lately.
Has anyone read IQ 84. I'm curious. . .

Im readng Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner. I was hoping it would be a quick mindless read but I'm having troubles getting into it.
I'm reading 11/22/63 right now. I'm desperatley looking for new books though - so love reading these threads!
I want to read The Help. I don't watch movies, so I'm hoping to find someone who will loan the book to me. :)
I'm reading 'The Happiness Project' - offers up some interesting insight into how to be happier in day to day life but its not earth shattering stuff.
I'm reading Out of Oz by Gregory Maguire. I'm liking it a lot more than the last two. Wicked was so good, but he lost me after that. This one is interesting so far...

I just read " Love Life and See Good Days"
http://deseretbook.com/Love-Life-See-Good-Days-Emily-Freeman/i/5061898
It's a religious book, with some scriptural references, but has a great message. It was a great way to kick off the year.

i pulled out a bunch of books i want to read this year (blog post about it coming tomorrow).
i've started with anna karenina.
I'm reading this fantastic book by Lisa See : http://www.amazon.com/Peony-Love-Novel-Lisa-See/dp/0812975227/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1325688028&sr=8-8
I am just about to finish up the 19th Wife. Very interesting book.
Oh, yeah...and I just read We the Animals. Really great, quick read.
I'm reading Unbroken, currently.
I HIGHLY recommend the other series by Suzanne Collins, the Overlander series. It's YA -- but I absolutely, positively LOVED it. I liked it more than Hunger Games!
I love these threads - especially when I'm in reading mode!
I finished "The Help" in 2 days over the holiday. SO late to that party, but I'm so glad I finally read it. Loved it.
I also read 2 Jodi Picoult novels over the break: "Sing You Home" and "Plain Truth." Eh.
Now I'm reading, "Le Freak," the autobiography of Nile Rodgers (music producer and leader of the disco group, Chic). Loving it so far!
My reading goal this year is to use the local libraries! I didn't read enough the last 6 months, and I want to make up for that - with FREE books.

Melinda - Year of Wonders was one of my favorite books the year I read it! FANTASTIC!
