Time to put that needle and thread to good use. Using either your sewing machine or a needle and thread, use stitchery to create texture or an embellishment for your layout or card.
Not sure what I mean? Check out my "A Moment" layout from the County Fair gallery.
challenge due next saturday 2/4

I got brave and even sewed through gel medium and glue dots and it worked! Got my sewing needle all sticky tho. A baby wipe fixed that. Anyhoo, here it is, along with a link to it in the gallery:
I had a little sewing mishap on the title which made me upset at first. But, then the more I thought about it... I think it adds a little character! :) Thanks for the challenge, Dav!
Davinie's stitching challenge!

I can't find that layout by Davinie in her gallery and its not letting me go to past DT gallery for some reason, and i know i usually can??
here is Dav's page that she mentioned :)
thanks so much Nik :)
So I'm assuming this is meant to be "special" stitching, not just a line across the page to hold a paper down?
LOVE this challenge and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
So could i submit a layout i worked on today sewing round an Amperstand?
Not nearly as creative as Davinie, but I did some random stitching on my accent circles for this page today and love the playful feel...TFL!

Totally works, Caz! Nicely done.
Here's mine, a lot less innovative but I stitched through my title and stitched behind the buttons and brad leaving lots or thread hanging loose. Hope it counts. http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/54170-artist-in-me
Here's my layout, thanks for the challenge!

On this one, I used my needle and thread to sew across the top of my ribbon and make the ribbon flower that is in the left corner of the page below the pics.
All I had was green and pink thread....didn't really match the page, so I figured I'd better cover it up!!!! ;)
