can anyone recommend a wireless shutter release for a nikon 300s?

i searched the message board here, but i only found canon recommendations, which aren't compatible.

i did some searching online, and the nikon one is over $200! i want something a little more reasonable, but i also don't want to waste money on one that won't work or last.

Great question, I have been wondering about getting one since Christmas. I am an accident waiting to happen when I set that timer and then dash to get in the picture. I would like something a little more reasonably priced, as well.

ugh. $200 sounds high. I got one for christmas for canon, it was $15. hope you can find a better price.

I saw that one, but I really want a wireless one. The cord is only 3 feet long, so I'm not sure that would be enough. I was hoping to take a few photos of my fiancé and I to use for our save the dates... at this rate, I think I should just recruit a friend to help. Lol.

It seems like there are more reasonably priced options for canon... sigh.

Amy, I bought a remote for my Nikon ages ago -- got it at Amazon, I think, for like $10!

I have this Vivitar for my Nikon D700. It says it also works for the D300.
