So I've taken a peek at radlabs stuff and it looks really amazing. What's the difference between the different packages? Revenge of the Lab 2 etc. aside from one being for photoshop and another for LR. Are the filters really that different? Which is your favorite? Any other photo effects you like using?
Thanks. : )
The types of fliters are slightly different, ie. not every fliter available in one set is available in the other.
The other difference is that only Rad Lab allows you to see the effects visually before you commit to it. The other set are all actions.
The Lightroom actions are different from the photoshop ones as they don't have sliders. In photoshop you can adjust the intensity from 0% to 100%, whereas in Lightroom there are three prests for a single effect, ie. 30%, 66% and 100%, due to the way that Light room is set up.
Hope that helps. Drop me a PM if you need more comparisons. I love my Rad Lab too!
The biggest difference is that you can preview how the action will look on your photo by hovering over each option instead of having to apply action through new layers. It DRASTICALLY cuts down on the time it takes to edit your photos as you have a long list of all the options to preview right there for you.
I have RadLab and I never even use other actions anymore; it's so simple. You can also save "recipes." This is really cool if you have a whole set of photos and want to apply the same effects to all of them but don't have time to sit and edit all your photos at once.
I highly recommend RL. If you "like" Totally Rad on Fbook they'll send you a discount on their product too!
Michelle - I believe you can do photo editing with lightroom, it is more hands-on. RadLab is more like customisable actions. I love it but it won't replace PS, PSE or lightroom.

I only have the one for Photoshop, but I can tell you it's dramatically changed how I edit and I love every single thing it does.

how does it differ from lightroom??
Is the product available to use with PSE?

Amy - Yes, I use RadLabe with PSE.
Thanks, Elisa.
