I have an epson for home use but I am doing a photobooth for an adoption fair with the child protective services next month and I want to print a 4x6 for the kids that come to the booth. This is the printer I am leaning towards but I wanted to ask a few questions.

    1. Can you load CF cards into it and print directly? I shoot with a 7D and a 40D and for this I would just shoot jpeg instead of RAW.

    2. If you print directly can you crop on the printer?

    3. Does it any fun features like borders to add for the children?

I don't want to haul my computer and set up and I think this would be a much easier thing to have, not to mention I can use it for my scrapbooking. lol

You can insert the SD card directly into the printer and print. I think you can do some limited editing functions, maybe crop, red-eye, etc. You can add a white border but that's it.

Thanks! I'm wondering about a CF card, it's bigger than an SD card. Were you referring to that when you said SD?

there are three slots to insert cards. The bottom one says: "CF/microdrive" beneath it. The other two say: SD/MMC+ and MS/MS duo.

i hope that helps. when i use my computer to edit, i transfer the pictures onto an old SanDisk Ultra II Compact Flash 4GB card. It fits into the CF/microdrive slot.

I have the Selphy CP780 & I just checked. The CF card (I have ther 7D as well) does work. Never tried it before, for some reason, I just print through the computer.
I've never been able to get a usb stick to work though, although I know others have!
