I think Im in the market for a new photo printer. I have a selphy which I love and a Cannon Pixma (older version) that the paper holder is broke on... plus it isn't wireless and I would like to free up another usb spot on my Mac (for my silhouette). I still like printing some large photos and collages so I need something more than the selphy...

I was thinking if I went wireless my kids could use it as well... and I do other printing besides photo's - like journalling - but I print all of my photo's at home so that is my main concern. I've heard not so great things about wireless printers... so I need to decide.

So for all of you girls who print photo's at home - do you love your printer? Any rocommendations - any printers you've heard/seen great things about... I figured I will do research but users are usually the best ones to ask!

The updated pixma's offer a wireless feature too, and if you like what the Pixma does then an update is good. As far as small- I have the Cannon iP100, it gives you the 8.5x11 size, and it's tiny too, plugin or a portable battery option and the different paper settings.

I have a wireless Cannon as well. I bought it here in Taiwan MG6270, but there is a US version as well. We downloaded an app that prints straight from my iPhone. Can also insert memory cards to print from. And I can run the scanner from my iPad. It uses 6 individual print cartridges. LOVE!

I'm very happy with my Canon Pixma that I've had for years, I just wish it was wireless. If I was gonna buy a new printer today I would get one of the newer Canon models that are wireless, I know they have them:) I don't see any way beeing wireless would affect the printing quality, but it depends on having a decent/stable wireless network I guess..:) They probably do have the option to connect via USB in an "emergency" though (like the internet beeing down, oh no), don't they?

Absolutely. Yuo can have a wired connection if you want, but i love the wireless. It's effortless!! I don't know what the US equivalent model number of mine is, but i got the one with the scanner too, cos my FIL is CONSTANTLY wanting things photocopied!
