What's your go-to brand/style for photo paper for at home photo printing?

My old printer died a few weeks ago, and we finally got a new one this past weekend. It's an Epson printer...just wondering what kind of paper you use when printing photos at home. Thanks!

i use ilford in the pearl finish, and totally love it.

it's the same brand i used to use in the darkroom, so i was super happy to find a printer compatible version. :]

i use epson premium for PL pics and ilford for pics for pages.

Is pearl finish like matte?

I have an epson too. I use what I can find locally which is Kodak matte. Would love to try others to compare.

I find that it is best to print with the paper that matches your printer, as they are formulated to work together. I have a Canon printer and use Canon paper. The quality is great.

HP Premium PLUS also with an HP printer. I use a soft gloss which isn't really a matte finish, but isn't glossy either. I have never tried the Ilford, because I can't get it locally and I don't usually want to wait for shipping. But I have tried almost every other brand and type and nothing compares to the prints i get with the Premium PLUS.

Ilford smooth pearl is my favorite. It is a "premium" paper and will work just fine with any brand of printer, I have used it with both a HP and Epson. I buy mine locally at a camera/photo supply store, it seems to be out of stock on Amazon everytime I need it.

I use Epson paper. I love the Luster for larger prints and the 4*6 photo paper for project life. Through today you can get their photo paper 40% off w/ code sale40. If you sign up for their emails you can also get 15% off your ink pretty regularly.

I have an Epson and use the Epson brand premium matte most of the time. Epson offers free shipping so I buy directly from them.

HP (Premium Plus Matte and sometimes Glossy) with my HP printer.......will have to try the Ilford some time......

I have a Canon printer, so I use Canon photo paper. I've heard it is best to use whatever brand your printer is... not sure if that is true, though!

I have an Epson and I use the Ultra Premium Photo Paper, Luster finish. Love it.

Thanks for the Epson coupon! I just bought an Epson printer and used my HP paper in it and was super disappointed in the quality. I hope the Epson paper works better!

Another one that uses Ilford Pearl...with an HP printer...and I will never change as I LOVE it that much! :)
