I have no children. And my job keeps me super busy so I don't have much time where I'm doing lots of other stuff e.g. socialising, etc. Do you think this class will still be worthwhile for me to take? I am concerned that I won't have enough photos to put in my Project Life album each week. So in that sense I think the class might help. But like I said, my time is very very limited. But also worried I just don't/won't have much to take photos of. Argh! I don't know what to do and today is the last day to sign up! I know it sounds silly coz it's only $12 at the end of the day, but I've spent SO MUCH here already this month, I feel guilty spending more!
Well, as a subber you get a discount, 10% I believe?? If you thinking you are going to have a hard time taking pics for PL, then it sounds like a good idea to take the class.
I think even without kids, you will find inspiration and ideas on what to shoot from this class. In fact some of the contributors either don't have children or did non-kid photo projects. Beyond what's in the pdf itself, you'll get a lot of help/motivation/encouragement from all the other students on the class message boards. I'm sure there will be others in the same boat that can really cheer on each other! I hope you join us!!! :)
I am childless too, with life revolving ard my work. Take photos of your morning routine, fave drink, sights on the way to work, clothes, food, weather... Just some ideas to consider. But I think once you get your head ard it, it definitely gets easier, and you start seeing everything differently.
I'm in the same boat as we are empty nesters but I think I am going to sign up to get not only the ideas and any inspiration, but also the support/reminder to take some pictures.
I have kids but I'm not planning on only using them for this class. I want to get to grips with my DSLR and my camera phone and I want to play around and not do kids only. I don't focus on me much so I want to include myself and my interests plus our surroundings. I think you would have plenty of material even without kids.
Just signed up for the class. I also don't have any children. I have tried PL once before, and did Project 12 instead. I don't think each photo has to make it into an album or layout, so while I am going to try to take a picture a day, I am going to take the highlights and scrapbook it in a Month to month format.
P.S. This is my first post here....I've been admiring the blog from afar, and have finally decided to join in the fun.
I have joined up too and I don't have any kids but I thought it would be a great accompniment to PL and am also looking forward to the support from others doing the course here on the forum to keep me motivated.
Good to know that there are quite a lot of us without kids and a live that's mostly about work *lol* I'm just starting full time tomorrow and am pretty afraid, to, that I won't have time and interesting things to take pictures of during the week...but I think it will work out some way.. :) We can inspire each other, too!
Hi,
I don't have Kids either. I signed uo for the 1photoaday class. I figure that work is a big Part of my life now and that deserves to be preserved. If kids come along one day it will show the differences in life style.
So have Fun taking that photo a day!
I signed up and I don't have children, and I'm single - so most of the photos will be just about me. But I thought that even if I don't manage a photo a day, the class was cheap ennough to sign up to just to get photo inspiration from.
I'm glad to see there are more than a few photographers here who don't have their cameras focused on children. Mine are mostly grown and don't much appreciate a camera in their faces anymore, lol. I've done APAD for the last 2 even years - '08 and '10, so I'm psyching myself up for another year, but like many here, looking for a different focus, but one that still reflects my life. The difference this year is I just got an iphone so I plan to do most of the year with Instagram. Just for something new and different!

I am taking pictures of my desk at the office. The state of the desk reflects the general work load.
Just thought I would share.
