I do PL at home with everyday pics. I do regular layout of some of the same fav pics and some non-PL pics when I go to crops and weekenders. I try to balance but I enjoy both. The layouts go into my PL in chronological order. I have 2 binders per year. PL + regular layouts. Just works for me since I have 4 kids and don't do individual per kid albums anymore. Good luck finding the balance.
this is why i have decided not to do PL this year or previous years. I just keep thinking if I can't keep up with *just* doing layouts how could I possibly do more?!
I still scrapbook regular layouts and I don't think that's changed much since I've started Project Life. I use Project Life to capture more everyday stuff, pics and memorabilia. I don't mind at all if I scrapbook the same pictures I included in Project Life. I elaborate a lot more in my layouts... whereas in Project Life it's just little snippets... a weekly overview.
I really need to get more layouts donw, but I'm not worried cos I'm still documenting my life somehow. Besides, like Marcy said, the layouts will be an overlap of PL in terms of expanding a story.
For me i think it has taken the pressure off of my normal scrap booking, i held up doing it as i thought it would be more work but its not.
I used to print of pictures to scrap about everything, all the everyday stuff and the big stuff now it all goes in my PL and i only scrap the big stuff so i need to do less
Also this year i had my DD Dance show and i put most of the pics in my PL i gave it 1 full page and journaled about it, i will do 2 or 3 layouts on it too.
Last year i did over 20 layouts on that one 3 hour show lol, i have saved myself a heap of time doing it this way
