When you're evaluating submissions for ST and a layout has been submitted for a specific call, do you also consider it for other calls if, in your eyes, it fits one of those better? Or, should we be submitting the same layout for multiple calls if it fits? If the latter, maybe you would consider updating the form so that the submitter is able to choose multiple categories for consideration for a layout when submitting.
I'm not Paige (obviously!) but one time, a layout I submitted for Scrapbook Trends Halloween call was requested for a Create: Holidays book. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I didn't submit it for the second call. That was with the old submission method, though.
Another lovely thing would be some way for those of us submitting to know what calls we have already submitted for. Ex: in the past I sent my email submissions to SBT and also copied to myself. One reason; to verify that all was transmitted properly, and two; to know what layouts I had submitted to which calls. While the new submission form is simplified, I miss not being able to "keep track" of what I've submitted. I realize I could probably do a screen shot of each submission, but that just doesn't seem like the simplest solution. Thanks for any consideration. :)
I'm not Paige but I've had layouts picked up for other sections. That said, with this new submission format, I'm not sure as you have to choose a specific area, but I still think they'd move it elsewhere if they saw a good fit.
To answer your questions: Please only submit your layout once, to whatever category you think it fits best. If we think it fits better somewhere else, we'll simply move it :)
Great suggestion about being copied on submissions submitted - I will mention that to our tech guys!
Let me know if you have any other questions - I'm always happy to help!

I keep track of my submissions on an Excel spreadsheet. Otherwise I forget what I've submitted!
I have had projects that were picked up for Cricut mag that I submitted for one category but got picked up for another.
Paige is working CHA with me, sorry for her lack of response. I am sure she will chime in when the craziness dies down a bit.
Mornin'!

Good to know, thanks for sharing!
Ha! Wish I'd read this this morning. Typical me.
thanks for asking, I didn't realize that we should only be submitting once.
