When you submit layouts for publising, do you always submit new layouts you never showed online before and then wait until/if you don't get picked up before you upload them to any online galleries/blog? Or do you just upload as usual and take them down *if* you get picked to be published? What do the magazines want, or do they have rules for this? How about old layouts that you see fit a special pub call, will you send in an old layout if it feels perfect for the certain call..?
Also.. what other magazines are there other than Scrapbook Trends and Scrapbook Etc which takes submissions? And do they take submissions from international scrappers, or do you have to live in the US?
(Was thinking about trying to send something in at some point but I'm a little confused as to how this works..:))
I do submit layouts that I have posted on my blog and have uploaded to galleries, such as the one here. Once the project is accepted, you have to take them down until after the magazine is out. Creating Keepsakes does sometimes specifically ask for things that have never been seen before, anywhere. I think (but don't have experience) that they are pretty picky about that.
I don't see why you wouldn't submit an older layout if it fit the call. Keep in mind though, that I think in general, magazines like to publish pages with newer products on them. That is my opinion though.
Scrapbook and Cards Today and Creating Keepsakes also take submissions.
I'm not aware if any magazine doesn't take international submissions. Keep in mind that you are responsible for shipping to the magazine by the date they request (which is pretty quick.)

Hope that helps and good luck!
Mine have almost always been posted somewhere before. I do submit older ones if they fit the call.
Thank you for replying:) It makes sense that they like layouts with newer products.
