Thanks so much for your participation and excitement you’ve brought to our Member Inspiration board on Pinterest. After further thought, we've decided that it's best to use this board for general inspiration rather than more specific product ideas. The ideas you’ve submitted have been fabulous and we want to continue to know what is inspiring to you.
Going forward, we'll still be pinning layouts, sketches, and inspiration pieces from our design team - and we still want you to be involved, too. We'll be re-pinning items tagged with @studio calico to our "Member Inspiration" board. Show us those awesome color combos, cool stitching ideas, funky font work - whatever you can't wait to try on your next layout. Please tag your pins with your name and tell us what about it inspires you. We can't wait to see what you pin!
We hope our Pinterest boards will continue to be a fabulous resource for all of you - and thank you for understanding as we work out the kinks on our end!
If you want an invite, you can click on the link above (Studio Calico on Pinterest), and at the top of the page, there will be a button for requesting an invitation. That's what I did, and hopefully I'll receive an invitation soon.
I am "at" challenged. It frustrates me because for whatever reason, I have a mental block as to its purpose (and this is totally personal - not complaining about anything here!) But help me...
So, I'm using Pinterest. I have my own boards that I've set up and organized. I'm off surfing, having a good time and I find something I like and want to PIN it say, to my "Cool Words" board on Pinterest.
So, how/where/WHY do I put the "@ studio calico" ? I know I went through this on Twitter, but I gave up there - slash marks, #'s, @'s Reply to... it all confused me! If I add this @ thing, then does it get put on the Member board? There also seems to be a "submit" button at the top of the page. What does that do? Can anyone submit to the SC boards? Ack, Sorry for all the questions!
But I LIKE pinterest... so, I'm more motivated to try to figure this out :)
hey ally! use the @studio calico somewhere in the field where it says "describe your pin" - if you are following SC and start typing that, you should get an autofill box w/ the rest of the name.
it won't automatically show on the SC member inspo board - but it will email us and then we are going through and repinning. for now, this is the best way we've come up with - but like i said, we're still working out the kinks on our end and pinterest is young enough that it's evolving, too. we may have a better process in the future!
let me know if that answers your question - and ask away if you have any more!
Ok - it KINDA answers my question - at least to the "how." But help me understand (maybe my problem is I don't like to share? LOL - it comes from being an only child you know...) - WHY do I want to do this? If I've already pinned it on MY board. If I use the @ SC then it alerts you and you decide whether basically to "re-pin" it. Is that it? It's like me sending you a smoke signal saying, "hey all my SC buds - look at this cool idea I found!" Am I starting to get it? And then, if you DO re-pin something I've alerted you to, then I have a chance at winning something too, do I remember that part right?
I will admit to having kept my private Tumblr account...
you've got it. it's basically for stuff you want to share w/ the SC peeps. =) we're still working out exactly HOW we'll use that inspiration, but i've found a lot of pieces that *i* plan on using for inspo there!
Thank you for asking Ally (and for explaining Lisa!). I too was a little confused about the SC board--just probably hadn't taken the time to read something or figure it out yet--but I think I've got it now.

I have requested a Pin invite several times with no success... Any ideas? I would love to check it out.
