    Hi everyone!

    I have decided to do a Project Life album next year after enjoying my December Daily SOOOO much. The issue I am debating though is I think I'd rather do a 8 1/2 x 11 album rather than a 12x12. I think that I might be able to manage it better and since it is just my husband and I with the dog I don't think I would fill up a full 12x12.

    Has anyone ever done this size or an alternate size with their Project Life? And tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you and Happy Holidays!

    Well, this will be my first year doing PL. I just ordered the Clementine 12x12 version from Amazon and will use my own 3 ring binder. I am usually a mix and match kind of gal, but i wanted to have it all done for me since this will be my first time.
    Our "baby" will be heading off to college in Fall 2012 so we will be empty-nesters....:( I thought it would be cool for him when he comes home to see what's been going on while he's away. (Hopefully it won't be pictures of me in bed crying my eyes out!)
    I've decided to set up a little station on top of my buffet in the dining room and put my 4x6 printer and all the things I need for the album so it's "in my face" and I'll see it daily and hopefully keep up better. Maybe my DH will jump in and help!

    I did that size my 2nd year of PL . Its just me, my hubs and puppies too so like you i thought I couldnt fill a 12x12. I spent all my time cutting everything down that it became too much for me and only lasted a few months. I used baseball card protectors and threw in regular 8 1/2x11 pages.

    Good luck with your PL :)

    I think it sounds awesome...I LOVE how people are adapting the concept to fit their individual lives...I have 4 kids, so the 12 x 12 is a good size....2010 I filled up two binders b/c I also sprinkled in all of my full 8 1/2 x 11 and 12 x 12 layouts from that year......

    I had a really hard time keeping up last year so I'm adapting my plan to be more friendly to my inability to keep up with daily projects :)
    I've got the 12x12 binder with the 12x12 divided photo page protectors to just slip all photos into. I probably won't do a photo every single day, but as many as I can. Then I've added 8.5x11 protectors mixed in to do a journaling page for each month, or more often as necessary such as special events, etc. I also plan to use the 8.5x11 layouts in place of the little daily journaling cards. I can list several days on one layout without having to keep a daily card next to each photo.
    I love the concept of PL, but just have way too much difficulty keeping it up daily. This way I think I can lessen the pressure on myself a bit and have fun!

    Nikki! Glad you posted this. I am going to try a 8.5x11 size next year. I started doing a 12x12 version at the start of 2011 and kept up with it through May but it really wasn't me. The page protector options for 8.5x11 aren't as vast but I'm okay with that. I usually scrap my layouts 8.5x11 as opposed to 12x12 (which I really struggle with) so it just makes sense.

    So glad there are others! I thought I was the only that was going this route and sometimes that makes it hard for me to relate to people and vice versa :)

    @tenmylove
    I'm so glad that others are doing this size too! This is a big project and I hate to be hesitant going in and the smaller size is so much for relatable to me : ) Have fun!!

    I prefer 8.5x11 layouts also so my Project Life album will be this size (8x12 actually as bought a different brand of page protector for the first time). Shared some more about my plans with photos & links on my blog:
