I know that this would most likely only help those who were willing to buy all the add-ons each month, but has an add-on "subscription" ever been considered for SC?

Just wondering- I know all of you at SC headquarters are working hard to order enough kits for everyone, and I thought that if perhaps you knew there was a set of subbers who would pay for this option, it might help just a little bit in forecasting demand.

I haven't searched for the thread, but the main issue with the add-ons is getting the items in. We would have to be sure the combined price of all 4 equaled the same amount each month, and that's incredibly hard to do...pretty much impossible. I really wish we could offer this as a feature....trust me, it would be nice to know how many people wanted all 4 each month....but also in reality that's a small portion of our customers anyway.

Gee I get all 4 add ons every month!! I don't even spend time looking at them I just add them to my basket. I know they are going to be fabulous so I don't waste anytime thinking about it. It works out better for me to buy add ons as I love the xmas feeling of it all every month!!!! It would be great though to have a subscription! I would sign up in a second! It would take the stress out a bit for me

April- thanks so much for the response. I can't speak for others, but I would totally be okay with the "floating" price every month, since they always seem to be within a few dollars of $30 anyway. But I absolutely understand the sourcing issues, too.

Siggy- totally with you, I do the same thing! I pretty much only shop here now, so I don't feel bad doing that at all.

April, if this option was offered, perhaps customers who currently don't get all 4 would subscribe just to avoid the risk of not getting something they really want. I know I would consider it, and I have only purchased all 4 add-ons once in over a year. The price variations would not bother me either. In addition, if you sweetened the offer with an exclusive only available to those subscribers, especially if it was a stamp, I would be surprised if there would not be enough takers to make it worth your while!

I would do it if was offered too but I also understand that it would be difficult on SC's side. I pretty much shop here too unless I miss out on a kit then I try to piece it together with stuff from two peas sans the awesome stamp.

I still debate over which add-ons to get but I didn't get two from June's and now i'm totally kicking myself. i think at this point I'm just going to get all 4 and be done with it ;)

I would never in a million years, and you couldn't even pay me enough to, sign up for an all-four add on subscription. I know there are SOME who would love this feature. But I'm just going to share that this would never even come under consideration in my life no matter what my financial situation was. It's not that I don't love SC products or kits, I do. But I have many reasons why I wouldn't do this now or in the future:

    1. In 4 years of SC membership (both as a subber and non-subber), I've only actually wanted all four add ons twice (maybe 3 times), but have only ever bought as many as three (those two times, maybe three times)

    2. I personally believe that regardless of my finances, for me personally (not judging others at all), that's an insane amount of money to be spending on craft supplies, on a monthly basis - even when I could afford it, I thought as much.

    3. I also personally believe that the sheer quantity of supplies that one amasses buying that amount on a monthly basis is much more than I could ever use. As it is, I am still trying to use up kits from 3 years ago, and I stopped subbing last year!

The only reason I'm commenting is to validate April's response that perhaps it's just not that many people who would be willing/interested in an all-four add on subscription to make it worth the business effort that would be required for this. I know it's often disappointing to not get what one wants, but there are always more supplies coming down the line. I can't even remember the stamps from 6 months ago that I may have wanted but didn't get for whatever reason.

Just the other side of the coin - not judging or arguing... just trying to share another perspective.

I'm also thinking that maybe some of the small suppliers would be affected by this. Say April found a really cool embellishment that the supplier could provide only 100 of. Say there are 105 all add-on subscribers. (just throwing out random numbers) We would all lose out on the chance of that embellishment becasue April would have to turn it down.

I am guilty (actually massively guilty) of amassing scrappy supplies.....I think I would need to scrap everyday till I was well over 100 to use it all. I always go for it for the stamps but actually I hardly ever stamp on my layouts..... strange....I keep meaning to though so there is intention!
I think there should be a scrapaholics anonymous so that I could join!

Anyway back to the add ons dilemma. I was thinking of becoming a rewards member for the add on discount. However, there would be HUGE incentive for me to join it if like rewards members could be like guaranteed all add ons. THat would really motivate me to join the rewards member. Just a thought!

that is a great point brenda!!!

i used to go insane over the stamps. i bought add ons for the stamps only. especially when a dt member would say, "this is the best stamp ever!!!!" well, they pretty much say that every month, and you rarely ever see them use the "best stamp ever" on future layouts. well, maybe they do in layouts they don't share, but I'm pretty much over having to have it all. especially when all my craft supplies take up about 800 square feet of my house. ay ay ay.

i wonder if there could be one of the add on's that had a subscription each month; like having 2 "main kits." that way the cost could be fixed for SC's benefit. that way people could get the main and one additional "subscription" and then leave the other add on's as they are now.

Let us get through this summer....we have some surprises in store for you soon (2 to be exact), not to mention Christine's preemie and my boys, then we'll reevaluate in the fall. Fair?

I think Janeh's suggestion is a SUPER option! I do also believe that if that option were to become available, then more inventory would be needed up front to begin with because of the number of people that will choose to do that type of purchase.

I second Ally. I will however, give you the summer....enjoy those babies! :) If I could have mine back as babies for about a month I would kiss them to death! Also, might I add, I have even purchased a much sought after add on on my phone traveling while in BFE at midnight. I usually do not have a problem getting what I want, but I usually pare it down to what I want the most, and if I get that, and I've always (subber since 2009) been able to, I'm happy. Like others have said, more goodies are always coming. I'm actually glad I've not been able to always get everything...I mean honestly, what's the fun in that? Like I tell my kiddos ....kids who get everything they always want have nothing to wish for or achieve. ...same for me.

I also agree with Ally, I would love to buy 4 every month but mostly i just dont need it. Yes i bought 4 this month but if i was to do that every month then i would have a stash KWIM and that is something i dont need. I want to buy and use it not save it

Can't wait to see what the 2 surprises are, but ok i will give you the summer :)

i love surprises but i also love babies so i hope you ladies enjoy your wee sweeties.

i cannot justify four add-ons; based on what i have learned about myself over the last several months of subbing i now know that if i order one add-on to go with my main, i am able to use it up for my cards and pages within that month. if i buy add-on pp or sc pp it is too much and if i buy more than one add-on it is too much. i have just done a major re-organization of my extremely pared-down scrapbooking and stamping supplies and with the hours and hours i have put into sorting and selling and donating my extra 'stuff' i am pretty sure i am never going to let myself build up a huge stash again. it just doesn't feel anything but wasteful. i love the process of studying the 'confirmed' thread each month and choosing 'my' add-on but, truth be told, if i was unable to get said add-on i know i would be happy enough with the main on its own and i know that my next kit is just a month away. the goodness just keeps on coming.

as much as i love SC ... i would not be one to subscribe to all four. (and i'm not making any judgements here either!)
i have purchased as many as three add-ons at once... plus some shop supplies however.

    for scrapally's comment:

yes... good idea... yet my concern for that would be that i wouldn't be able to get an add-on if i'm just getting one or two... so... more inventory :)

wonder what the surprises are april... you tease! ;)

I've probably ever bought all 4 add-ons twice in my 23 months here, and I'm not really keen on subbing to them, if it was offered.

I can see the appeal of a 'buy all 4' button, but it would be too much for me.

@kellyv I've spent the past 3 months doing the very same as you and am now down to a more maneageable stash. I don't think I want to go back to where I was before and for me 1 or 2 addons is about right for me.

The bonus of my stash-attack? The money I made in selling off stuff I no longer wanted paid in full for our family summer holiday to France!

I agree with Ally, it's so much expensive for. I am sub for almost 2 year (with the July kit) and I never have the interesting to buy 4 addons. I buy 3 once, and I found so hard to spend before the next one arrive. For me, the better is to get 1 or 2 (on a good month) addons. That way I will have many fresh products for my layout on a month basis. Many stash on my table get used make me nervous...
