    Hello Ladies,

I'm hoping you will be able to help me. Next year me and my sisters are looking at going away to Las Vegas for Halloween for one of their Hen Nights. This is a major thing for two of us as we haven’t stepped outside of England, and even that’s a 4 hour trip to get to lol. I think we’re looking at around 5000 miles to LV. Now I know it’s really early to start thinking about all this, but I'm wanting to start the album ASAP and do pages from getting a quote all the way to going there and back.

Now the question is, do you stick with one colour theme? Or one collection or do you mix it up? As I'm wanting to start now (though I think the Yearbook collection is amazing and think I’d love to add some of it, if not all to the album) what’s the best thing to do.

Also am I over thinking the album wanting to do everything from the quote to shopping for it and meeting for lunches ect. It’s going to be my sister’s wedding pressie. Would you go to that much trouble?

    Thanks for any help

    Nessy

Great idea. I think the new Yearbook Album would be great for that. When I do a mini book or album, I use the same line and embellies to simplify the process to eliminate too many choices. Unless it's a Daily December, and then I mix it up!

Sounds like fun! Have a great time here in the USA! : )

    Two questions though:

    What's a Hen Night?
    and
    What's a wedding pressie?

I mix up my minis and try to use up some stuff in the process...I never really worry about the pages matching...and yes, I would go to that much trouble, it sounds like an awesome gift!

I always mix up my pages based on what i have in my stash. You could go with a color scheme and shop your stash from there and buy whatever extra you need. Sounds like a good idea for a mini.

I think a hen night is a bachelorette party and pressie = present ;)
I like the idea of Using one of the new handbooks for this, and I think yearbook would be great. Me personally, I like to mix it up a little bit, if you use mostly one line find some neutral coordinates from another line, and add in a few stickers from another line etc.

oh lol.. we call them hens night and wedding pressies here as well!! and as tami said if said bachelorette party i would have gone what??!! lol

i think yearbook would be fab and maybe mixing in a little of the calico neutrals would be cool and some of the other sc lines would also work well if you have any of them! i think they would fit in nicely :) raid you embellies!! and have fun :)

Thanks everyone :) I really wanted to mix it up, but as I'm so new to all this I thought it might be too much, cannot wait to get going on it!

And I have to pipe in, early is never early enough with this hobby. Working on things sooner rather than later is much better! You'll have it (the basic layouts) done without journaling or extras. It's a canvas ready for paint! Then you can relax to enjoy your trip.
