I wanted to post here and let you all know that I have decided to leave Studio Calico to be a Stay at home Mom. My last day here will be January 25th.
This was an incredibly hard decision....I've been with SC for 5 1/2 years. I started out packing kits around April's dining room table when Natale was only 3 months old. I've seen many changes here and tremendous growth....it's been a pleasure to be a part of it all behind the scenes.
Rich and I have decided to try to add to our family this year by adopting another baby. The adoption process is a long, hard road and I wanted to be able to focus on it 100%. I also wanted to be able to focus on Natalee and really give her the attention that she needs before we bring another child into our family. I've already signed up to volunteer in her classroom at school 2 days a week!
I love SC and will be leaving a part of my heart here, but I know that I am doing the right thing. My word for 2013 is FAMILY. I'm going to focus on my existing family and adding to it! However, I won't forget my SC family. I'm planning to stay active on the message boards because I'm going to need all of the inspiration that I can get to keep on track with PL this year! I have my subscription all ready to go, I'll FINALLY have the time to sit down and play with paper and glue....I can't wait!
Awww, Lorie, I'm selfishly sad to see you go but also very happy for you and your *family.* Enjoy more time with your little one and best wishes on the adoption journey. (((Hugs)))
Lorie, my friend, I know that you and Rich and Natalee have BEAUTIFUL things ahead of you.
You are a big part of SC and man were they blessed to have you for so long.

Oh Lorie! I have to agree with April, this is soooo bittersweet! We will miss you tons. I don't know an SC that doesn't include you. I will miss your great input, your rockin' service, and your vibrant personality. Much love to you and your family!
