So I had to go grocery shopping today as i had ran out of some items, I normally go when Lucy is at school but i won't get the chance this week. So Lucy wanted to take her Rapunzal doll with her in the little buggy she has, so i was like yea no problem. Well everything was going great she was walking around the store singing the songs from Enchanted at the top of her lungs much to everyones amusement, when she then decided she was too tired and i had to push her dolls buggy, to which i said no way, you wanted to bring it you push it, she was like im so tired i can't walk anymore, so i was like what? so i push the trolley, your dolls buggy and carry you? i don't think so. For about 4 aisles she just whined, apparently i was making her throat sore!! WTW lol. then at the final aisle she hit out with , mums are supposed to look after their children OMG I could of throttles her lol

Needless to say i will not be going shopping with her again any time soon.

We got home and she decided it was her and her dolls bath time so i said fair enough, it will let me empty car. They are now tucked up in my bed watching Enchanted and im having a cup of herbal tea and a break

So what makes you want to throttle your kids? come on i know you do lol

When they won't do things for themselves & expect me to do it. Drives me nuts. They are 11, 13 & 16. There is no excuse for them except laziness! I have noooo tolerance for pure laziness!

i remember as a nanny taking a doll buggy on a walk around the streets (think hills!!!) and the child let it go!!!

i had to stop and secure the REAL baby buggy before racing down the ROAD to catch it
and a bus was coming UP the road!!!!!!!! woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

what annoys me is currently is demanding children who want something and either dont wait (till i have finished talking or have finished with another child) or....cant wait!!!
i teach 40 children (one group of 3 year olds and another of 4 year olds) and am FOREVER saying...you need to wait!!!!!! woahhhhhhhh makes my day so so long!!! lol

My daughter drives me mad when she's manipulative. I'm tired of always using reverse psychology on her. Whatever we suggest she as the opposite opinion to. The way things has to be aaaaall the time: I say "Let's put your clothes on." She says no and starts to wiggle so I can't help her. So I say "Well, then I will dress myself and you will have to wait until I'm done." She starts to scream and cry that I should put her clothes on right now. Ugh. EVERY TIME. So tiresome. Just let me help you when I offer to, pleeeease!

DD drives me crazy when she says nothing is wrong, but clearly, from her body posture and eyes, something is definitely wrong. Sometimes it takes an hour or more to get it out of her. Teenager.

DS drives me crazy when he forgets to complete a task, even though he's asked to complete the same task every day. Put your dirty clothes in the hamper. Put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher. And yet, I find dirty socks mysteriously stuffed within our sofa. Aarrgh!

When you ask them to do something and they look at you like you're speaking a foreign language because they don't want to do it! They just either look back at me like I made no sense at all or they keep on doing whatever they were doing as if I had said nothing!. Then if I get upset I get waterworks!

I know what you mean about the grocery store too! I never look forward to it. My boys get along really well but there's something about the grocery store that brings out the worst in them! 'He touched me!' "He stuck out his tongue!" "Tell him not to touch me anymore!' Usually I'm only like 3 aisles in when this starts and I have to regroup or I'd never make it through the store!

Yes, what I think is kids put up a struggle when they know there's room for it. For instance my kids never ever argue about having to brush their theeth or being strapped into their car seats. They know there's no compromising on that. Putting them to bed is sometimes a struggle though, because they know I will sometimes break down and let them sleep in my bed if they cry long enough...

Going to the grocery store with our kids is not a problem either because we have to bring them. We have a bit of a drive and can only go on the weekends, and we don't have any go-to babysitter. My SIL on the other hand has kids that are impossible in the grocery store, so she leaves them at gramma's. So her kids know if they put up a fight they can go see gramma.

I love reading others' kid stories. reminds me I'm not alone;). I honestly prefer to shop with my kids (usually just my 3 younger ones) in the middle of the week, in the middle of the day when it's less crowded then on saturdays.... the worst for me though is when I'm on the phone. the minute I start talking to anyone, they ALL seem to need something. and hiding doesn't help.

eek. I have 4, and I avoid stores(besides Target and Costco, but even then) try to go without them in the evening. But on cases when I have to get something, I go to Super Target since they have great carts. I usually try to fly in and out..between baby's feedings :) Sometimes the store's aware that I am there, othertimes, not so much :)
