Ooo. Ouch Davinie. I believe unless you bought external insurance, there might be nothing to do, unless you are able to find an external vendor to change.
Apple also has a policy to trade-in broken ipads to get a new one for a slightly discounted price.

the iPad? or the kid's face?

    just kidding!

I didn't get the extra insurance, so I have no idea what it covers

My husband has done this with his iphone. The only thing to do is take several deep breaths and forgive. Ask at the genius bar; they'll know.

They should have a local place that fixes them. DH got my mom's ipad fixed when my son dropped it. Cracked the screen. It cost us $170 though so be prepared to pay if you do it.

She didn't get the Apple Care on it. I believe if you have Apple Care its covered but I'm not 100% sure.

I can't say for sure, but my Mom cracked the screen on her little netbook and she was able to buy a replacement and my computer geek cousin fixed it. It's good as new! So there might be an option for yours.

Oh no! My monkey literally hurls my Ipad on a regular basis and no damage! Maybe the case has helped but I only got the case about three or four months after purchase. So sorry this has happened to you.

My hubs dropped his and cracked the screen, but we had insurance through Best Buy so they replaced it for him. Hopefully they can get it fixed for you.

My son dropped and cracked his iPhone a couple of months after he got it. He took it to the genius bar at the Apple store and they gave him a free one. He didn't have any type of insurance. I read online that they will do it one time so we thought it was worth a try. I would take it in to see what they will do. Hope it works for you too.

oh noooo! that stinks!!! hope you can get it fixed soon...

    on a side note:
my husband thought he lost his one time. we were panicking! evidentally there is a tracker on it?? so you can look it up online and see where it is. so funny thing was we looked it up and it said the IPAD was in the other town next to us, we thought it had been stolen from our car one day when we were out and about. maybe forgot to lock the car? we were all ready to call the police. well, come to find out, the IPAD didn't update so the location on it was wrong. and it was still in the car. HA it had slid down between the bucket seats in the front sideways. darn those things, they are paper thin and hard to see! :) i was SO happy we didn't have to buy another one! they are expensive!

I have a leather ish folding case on mine.....one of the kids in my class flung it over a fence cause the battery was dead last year.(long story).... the case protected it - it was fine- but for that split second you could see everyone watching gasp! Feel your pain.

Try apple first, I know a few people who have had their iphones replaced.

Oh Dav.........that stinks! But whatever you do, please don't pork your eyes out! Hahahaha!
