my morning started with having to move carseats and a bunch of Army equipment out of the car, so that i could take middle son to the dr and tote my dd and her friend to a girl scout event this afternoon.
when i came inside to get ready to go (already behind at this point), said middle son spilled a fruit (read PURPLE) smoothie all over the floor and his chair.
at the doctors office, i just started crying and fell apart in the room when speaking to the nurse about all of my concerns with my middle son.
took dd to her event only to learn its on a one way street and i came in 2 streets too far.
and i just got an email that the happy days stamp set, the memoir scrap pad, and the memoir labels won't be coming home to live with me as i had thought they were. all after the second restock happened.
*sigh* i am a bit grumpy!! i guess my hormones are all crazy and i am emotional as dh leaves in just 9 days for what we now know will be afghanistan (we had been told kuwait 5 months ago).
thanks for letting me vent. i am going to take a nice hot shower and relax with a glass of wine and my project life this evening.
sending hugs your way christie!! I am keeping your family in my good thoughts while your husband is away! I have that stamp set and I can stamp you out some in any color ink on any cardstock and send them your way if you want!! i know it isn't the same as having the stamps, but it is something :)
that was my day yesterday! I scrubbed my crappy linoleum kitchen floor with a darn toothbrush, (tile soon I hope) and it looked better (if thats possible) when my son decided to grab something out of the fridge, knock over the milk and it literally exploded in the fridge, and all over the floor, cupboards, and under fridge and stove (all at 8pm) I just sat there and cried...........today was better ;)
christie- hugs. i've been there...changed deployment and the inevitable crappy 2 week pre-deployment drama. although there's no cure for it- there is a treatment and you've nailed it girl...make time for you. do what you know calms you, relaxes you, makes you feel good...and always know that you can come here and vent :)
awww girl i am so sorry you had a rubbish day :) me too... i spent 3 hours at emergency with one of my 15yr old daughters! and she now has her wrist in cast for 2 weeks! lol and i forgot to take photos! haha
hope you shower and wine helps! thinking of you and praying for you at this time xx
I have the happy days stamp set and, if you don't mind a slightly used version, would be happy to send it to you. Wouldn't make up for the crappy day, but might help it end on a brighter note :) Just PM me if you want.
Christie,
Hugs to you, and remember tomorrow is afresh start! Wish your husband didn't have to leave soon that definitely intensifies everything. Be good to yourself!
just have to vent here for a minute!!!!!
