There is a possibility that we might be heading that way in the next couple of years. I just wonder if it is a nice place to raise a family. I see there are a few folk from there on the boards so would love their thoughts.
So you might leave Singapore!? I've never been to Nashville, but I know it is not expensive and a lot of people love it. My husband always trys to convince me to move there because a house our size would cost half as much! Hope someone from Tennesee chimes in, but I'm sure you would enjoy it if you are already an adventurous spirit!
I grew up in Nashville and live here now. I really love living here. My husband and I moved away for a little bit when we first got married and that is when I really started appreciating it! We have a lot of people who moved here from other places so you meet a mix of people...those who grew up here and those who didn't but have now been here for years. A lot of people say Nashville is living in a city with the feel of a smaller town. I think that is true in a lot of ways. You have access to a lot of things but you also seem to always meet people who know someone you know. The thing I like most is the people...most are just really good people. This really showed when we had the flood about 2 years ago. The worst part are the allergens...the hills and trees are beautiful but my allergies go nuts in the fall and spring! Hope this helps...
Thanks ladies. My hubby has pretty bad allergies so that might be a problem... There is a possibility that we may have to transfer and Nashville would be one of the options. We are off to the US next year and traveling between NYC and Florida so I suspect we may call in on our travels.
