Anyone have taken up aleida's challenge recently? I just uploaded mine today. Anybody else joining me? Just get your picture taken with your children. Forget the make up - mine was taken after a long day out and I was oily-faced and all. You can barely see it in the black and white anyway. .

now it's your turn, get in front of the camera, grab your kids. I need to take a picture with my other girl, that will happen this weekend! I promise!
I love you all.
thank you ladies! don't forget to post your pic here if you can. . . I wouldn't want to miss this. And I really want to see Aleida's Legacy continues on SC.
You can read about it here. Aleida was a wonderful friend and member of SC. She passed away in September 2008.
We're honoring her by doing #aleidaschallenge - take photos with your children at least once a month.

Brenna : what a precious precious photo. You're beautiful, your children are adorable and I can't thank you enough for posting your take on the challenge here. *hugs*
Thank you ladies... I still have yet to catch my 13 yr old to have our photo taken.. but it will happen! :)
This is very inspiring and eye-opening.....thank you Sasha for this. What a wonderful tribute to Aleida and how true it is. I love the whole thought behind this. Thanks for the links:)
she posted this photo on September 5th. She was in the accident September 12th, on her way to work in the morning. The other driver ran a red light, I heard.
i did this morning. right after i got up, no make-up, messy hair. i just grabbed the kids that were in the kitchen with me and sat in front of the computer and took a few pics. i really need to make it more of a habit. and try to involve all of the kids!
Ginny : are you gonna share with us? Heeeheee :) I just posted another one, this time with both girls :)
What I'm loving now, is that my girls are grabbing me for photos saying - come mom, let's take a photo for aleida's challenge! I was floored seeing how this simple thing is affecting my family. The girls are trying to get daddy to play along and I'm all for it! Especially when he travels so much he rarely get to spend time with us :)
I remember Aleida. This is such a beautiful way to honour her. It's so so true. I have almost no pictures of myself and my kids. Can probably count on two hands :( and my kids are 14,12 and 9. I have already lost so much time and it really makes me so very sad. I will be taking this challenge. Thank you for sharing this here, now.
Elaine : I'm so gad you'll be taking the challenge. What a beautiful way to capture us right now, and honor a beautiful, wonderful friend at the same time :) I'll be waiting to see your take, my friend.
Caz : that's what lovely photo of you! :) dont' worry about looking our best I say. (need to practice what I preach, eh?) LOL.
I love the idea of this, thanks for challenging us Sasha. My pic is a bit blurry but it is a phone pic into a mirror & I'm just glad to have these smiling faces. :)
I think of Aleida frequently even after all this time and was thrilled to see the challenge on IG. I have a LO of that picture of Aleida somewhere in my albums. <3

Wow. I'm so sorry, but so glad you brought this up, Sasha. I love that quote from her. Wonderful.
