April Foster

April Foster lives in Bowling Green, KY, home of the Corvette and Western Kentucky University. She has been married to Greg for 10 years and has been scrapping since 1996 when she entered a scrapbook in a state contest for a high school club. Even though first place eluded her, she has continued to scrapbook, however, it is now more personal. Whether it's documenting places she's traveled or feelings she has, scrapbooking is now her creative outlet and one tiny way to show off her newest love, Claire and her dogs, Addy & Jett.

April is the owner and CEO of Studio Calico and is a 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame Honorable Mention winner. She has had her work published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Memory Makers, as well as some web-based scrapbooking publications.

According to April:

When I was a child...
I thought I would grow up to be a ballerina, even without taking a single ballet class or owning a tutu.

If I were a superhero, my super-power would be...
being in more than once place at a time and my name would be "Supermultitasker."

I can’t imagine my life without...
chips and salsa. Is it bad to rate every restaurant on the quality of their chips and salsa, independently of each other? (For instance, Chili's has the best thin, salty chips, and Garcia's has the best fresh salsa with lots of cilantro. It would be a dream to combine the two in one sitting....ahhhhhh.)

If life were like high school, I would be voted most...
Likely to Succeed. But, in real life, I was voted "Biggest Brown-Noser." At the time, I was offended, but now I'm okay with that.

I thought I would never...
have 4 birdfeeders in my backyard. (I sure do love my hubby.)

If I could be on any tv game or reality show, it would be...
Amazing Race, hands down. I actually applied last year with my twin sister, but we didn't even make the first cut.

You would never guess it, but I...
can’t go to sleep unless I've made a list for the next day. (Okay, maybe you would have guessed that, but it's true.)

I was most embarrassed when...
I was playing a board game and was asked what 2 colors make pink when mixed together, and I said, "Yellow and orange." I still have no idea what I was thinking or why that came out of my mouth. At least it didn't cost my team the game!
