Joleen Thiessen from Ladera Ranch, California
Inspired by her aunt's photo albums, scrapbooks, and old letters, Joleen Thiessen began documenting her life at age 12. She started keeping journals about her day to day life and putting photos and ephemera together in a static album. At age 17 she was scrapbooking with Creative Memories and it was all about stickers, then she learned about rubber stamps through Stampin' Up!, and soon stumbled into mixed media art. Imagine her thrill with finding an outlet which welcomes all mediums! Today her art and scrapbooking, alike, are a culmination of all her loves. A child at heart, Joleen especially loves using stickers, paint and hand-stitching on her pages!
Joleen is a twenty-something from Southern California. She lives with her husband and their turtle, Dude. She is a mixed media artist, professional photographer (www.lovejoleen.com), and dabbler of all things crafty. She has sold her crafty goods and artwork in shops across the United States and currently keeps an online shop called Love, Joleen Studio (http://lovejoleenstudio.etsy.com).
