Dina Wakley from Glendale, Arizona
Dina Wakley started scrapbooking way back in 1995…during the times of sticker sneezes and deco-scissors. Over the years, she discovered stamping and mixed-media art, and even gave up scrapping for a while to be a stamping demonstrator and teach card classes. Eventually she found her way back to scrapping. She really grew to love the hobby when she gave up scrapping chronologically and started to mix her love of mixed-media art (paint & ink) with her layouts. Dina designs for Hambly, Jenni Bowlin, {entreARTistes} magazine, Kitschy Digitals, and Kenner Road. She has been published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Somerset Memories, Artful Blogging, and Memory Makers. She also teaches online classes in art journaling at Get It Scrapped.
Dina lives in Arizona with her software-engineer husband and her three boys. She loves to cook, read, shop, travel, and hang out with good friends. She is a docent at the Phoenix Art Museum, where she gives tours to museum visitors of all ages.
According to Dina:
When I was a child... I lived in England and got to travel a lot, and it helped shape my world view.
I can't imagine my life without... my family, art, and diet Coke.
I would love to win a shopping spree to... Dick Blick and Lowe’s, so I could update and stock my studio. I want a stained & sealed cement floor, lots of cabinets, and a utility sink.
If I could be anywhere, I'd be... somewhere foreign and fun with my fellas, or just in my studio working.
My least favorite chore is... laundry. I loathe laundry.
If I could be on any tv game or reality show, it would be... The Amazing Race…love that show!
If a mystery package arrived on my doorstep, I'd hope it would be... something handmade from a friend.
My guilty pleasure is... I don’t feel guilty about any pleasures…lol…but I love dark chocolate and getting a good pedicure.
