This is truly a very powerful layout. Very honest. I'm gonna say Ally that I consider this layout a favorite for me of your work. I have to add it to my favorites. My heart goes out to you sweetheart. Aleida |

Love that you were so open with your pain and heartache on this layout. (Not that I'm glad that you have pain and heartache, just glad that you were able to get it on into words on a layout.) This layout is what I call scrap therapy. And I can't wait to see the layout titled "Home Again." I'll be looking for it soon. |

I guess nothing I have to say will fully explain what I feel, but WOW. Ally, before I even read the journaling I was drawn in and captivated. Then I read the journaling and I am blown away. Like others said it is powerful, raw and real. Denise |

Journaling Reads:
Dear Ryan, on the day you were born, I felt joy - pure & true. You were the first - my first child, the first grandchild for both sides of the family. First Born in ever sense. On that day I had no idea what was in store for you as a little person growing up, or for me as a parent (eventually a single one). We are both born from the same cloth - you and I. We are both too smart for our own good. We are bullheaded and stubborn. This has made for some difficult times. You are no longer a little boy though. Now, in your 20th year, we are at odds. This past year in particular has been the most challenging. On the positive side, you are enrolled in school and maintained employment. But on the other hand, you've chosen some pathways I cannot approve. So, I've asked you to leave. It has been the most challenging year of my life - and I don't imagine it has been any easier for you. I've endured you saying how much you hate me - with vehemence. You meant it. I am certain. But I have to let go, pray you survive these trials, learn from your mistakes, rise above the pain - and come home.
