I haven't heard much talk about the trends at CHA, colors, texture, etc. So what are the in colors, patterns, embellishments? What can we look forward to?

Woodland creatures (including the sort of creepy Mr. Campy - sorry, Dav, I know you like him!)

monsters (yes, monsters)

greys

fruits and veggies (thinking BG Offbeat)

brown/black chipboard (again, at BG)

glitter

diecut paper!

crepe ribbon by Jenni Bowlin...looks very cool

I'll have to think of more...

I feel like I didn't see too many different, unique, NEW embellishments this time.  Or did I just miss them?

I am very interested in the crepe ribbon and the new diecut paper...not really interested in the creepy crawlies or Mr. Campy...don't throw stuff at me...what about the puffy thickers and or any other textured thickers that were alluded to earlier?

Funny that you mentioned crepe paper. I just bought some vintage crepe paper streamers from an Etsy seller.

You can use the marshmallow guy one ONE layout, Nik.  You remember the sayings you saw...  lol

The biggest shapes were butterflies and cupcakes.

I must have the crepe paper ribbon too!  Loved that.  I've actually used crepe paper as a ribbon before...  so sad I didn't do that one more often.  Look at me, I was ahead of the trend and didn't even know it!  lol  Who doesn't have extra streamers left over from a kid birthday party, I ask you.  I have tons!

Is that a challenge, Davinie?  ;)  On the right layout he could be cute I suppose.  I can see him on a page of yours looking perfectly adorable.

I forgot about all the cupcakes!  Yes, lots of cupcakes.

Nicole S.-

Mr. Campy is not creepy. As a Cosmo Dt member I'm hurt, wounded in fact.  You too Judi. Smile

Dav is the only one who gets me.

But thank you for the rest of the info. Monsters uh? I guess I should be feeling good about having a boy! Finally, didn't think that day would ever come in the scrap world.

Danielle, oh no!  Don't be wounded!  I'm mostly giving Dav a hard time.  Like I said...on the right layout...he could be a cute little mashmellow man.  ????  I don't know.  The colors/designs in the line are nice though.  Just sans Mr. Fluff.  :) :) :)

Nicole S. and Judi,

No worries, I'm just kidding. But I did upload my Mr. Campy layouts so that you can see, no creepy, no campfire, no mashmellow, just goodness. Smile

What is the difference between Jenni's crepe ribbon and regular crepe streamers? If you want to do awesome stuff with crepe paper, get a vintage Dennison's book on ebay.

ETA: went on a search for the Jenni Bowlin. I liked the mini bingo cards. The crepe just seemed like normal crepe.

i just like saying "MEEESTER CAUMPY!"

i saw a lot of teal/green combos too.

the JB crepe seems a little less bumpy than regular crepe, very fragile...

As well as the teal (which was nice because I matched it one dayWink ) I saw a lot of yellow and purple - maybe I just noticed them because I was surprised to see them?

I am most excited about the mustaches!  Can not wait to see Dav and the Nicoles use these for sure!  And bird cages!  Hoping to see some pigeons at the next show.

Smooches girlies!
