I haven't heard much talk about the trends at CHA, colors, texture, etc. So what are the in colors, patterns, embellishments? What can we look forward to?-
~Danielle
Woodland creatures (including the sort of creepy Mr. Campy - sorry, Dav, I know you like him!)
monsters (yes, monsters)
greys
fruits and veggies (thinking BG Offbeat)
brown/black chipboard (again, at BG)
glitter
diecut paper!
crepe ribbon by Jenni Bowlin...looks very cool
I'll have to think of more...

I feel like I didn't see too many different, unique, NEW embellishments this time. Or did I just miss them?
I WANT CREPE PAPER. THAT"S ALL I WANT. PLEASE.-

I am very interested in the crepe ribbon and the new diecut paper...not really interested in the creepy crawlies or Mr. Campy...don't throw stuff at me...what about the puffy thickers and or any other textured thickers that were alluded to earlier?
judi
Funny that you mentioned crepe paper. I just bought some vintage crepe paper streamers from an Etsy seller.

You can use the marshmallow guy one ONE layout, Nik. You remember the sayings you saw... lol
The biggest shapes were butterflies and cupcakes.
I must have the crepe paper ribbon too! Loved that. I've actually used crepe paper as a ribbon before... so sad I didn't do that one more often. Look at me, I was ahead of the trend and didn't even know it! lol Who doesn't have extra streamers left over from a kid birthday party, I ask you. I have tons!

My Little Piece of that Azure Sky
Is that a challenge, Davinie? ;) On the right layout he could be cute I suppose. I can see him on a page of yours looking perfectly adorable.
I forgot about all the cupcakes! Yes, lots of cupcakes.
woodland creatures are everywhere again...i don't know what the scrappy world is coming to, lol.
cupcakes indeed...they were EVERYWHERE!! and flocking/velvet paper...and YELLOW. lots of yellow...which makes Joy (and me) happy!!
(and i'm with you on the marshmallow with legs Nic...i've got your back!)
Nicole =)Seriously...Brains.

Mr. Campy is not creepy. As a Cosmo Dt member I'm hurt, wounded in fact. You too Judi.
Dav is the only one who gets me.
But thank you for the rest of the info. Monsters uh? I guess I should be feeling good about having a boy! Finally, didn't think that day would ever come in the scrap world.
i got to see the mr campy line... and i just loved it!
it met my expectations... the wood-grain paper is cute!
it seems like there's a lot of grey.... and lacqured (sp??) glittered stuff...
no... i wasn't there... my friend brought back samples of stuff!
i love the plaid/pink ... pink paislee! btw, what's up with their blog???
~joannemy little blog
sorry Danielle..remember roughing it for me means the cabana boy who brings your drinks is unattractive...just not my style...but alot of the CC is fun...please forgive me
Danielle, oh no! Don't be wounded! I'm mostly giving Dav a hard time. Like I said...on the right layout...he could be a cute little mashmellow man. ???? I don't know. The colors/designs in the line are nice though. Just sans Mr. Fluff. :) :) :)-
I love crepe paper... have always played with it, just not on layouts... cool beans :-) Velvets... lovely... yellows sublime. As for the woodland creatures... I love love them in their natural habitat ;-) Sounds exciting thanks for sharing ladies.

Nicole S. and Judi,
No worries, I'm just kidding. But I did upload my Mr. Campy layouts so that you can see, no creepy, no campfire, no mashmellow, just goodness.
What is the difference between Jenni's crepe ribbon and regular crepe streamers? If you want to do awesome stuff with crepe paper, get a vintage Dennison's book on ebay.
ETA: went on a search for the Jenni Bowlin. I liked the mini bingo cards. The crepe just seemed like normal crepe.
Briana
i just like saying "MEEESTER CAUMPY!"
i saw a lot of teal/green combos too.
the JB crepe seems a little less bumpy than regular crepe, very fragile...
Emily Pitts Journaler's Junction--come write on over :)
here i am, here i am
very much more smooth, plus it has the decorative edges.-
