I took out my ironing board so I could iron my pants and my son said "Mommy, what's that?" Um, that would be an ironing board. Hmmm...he's 4 years old and hasn't seen my ironing board!!
Julie
You can use the iron for scrapping you know! I use the iron to adhere paper to modpodged chipboard.-Svala
Ha! If it makes you feel any better - we left our ironing board at our house in Alaska when we moved (TWO years ago) and we haven't bought a new one!
LOL! That is so funny! My daughter tells me just the opposite...that I iron everything! I need to though because I don't dry our clothes.-Sophia
we are an ironing family...my husband does his own shirts because I don't "do them right"...Like i ever really "tried" to do them right
Judi - I like that! LOL!
Guess I shouldn't admit I don't even own an ironing board anymore! I am a jeans & tee shirt kind of gal. My husband is in the Air Force and wears flight suits every day to work - no need to iron the "green pajamas." ha!
mandie-
we don't own one either!!!
Hello, I don't iron, I have a husband for that. -

I don't iron either. I buy DH non-iron shirts for work. I think the only time I get the iron out is if I need to hem something (and I'll put that off for as long as possible!!)-

Bwah! That is too funny
Mine are 20 and 17 and I'm not sure they even know WHERE our ironing board is. Wait, do I? But very funny!-Scraps-R-Fun: The Blog
I wish I didn't own an ironing board. I swear its always staring me in the face with a huge pile of shirts that need to be ironed. When I was working, I'd always take stuff to the cleaners. Now, I feel I should iron since I'm home -corrie
too cute
i have an ironing board that i haven't used since my last job - my current job is nice and casual, so i don't have to worry about that!

My ironing board is always set up, and I iron shirts for my husband as he needs - I should just do them all at once, but that just takes too long.
Plus, I use my iron pretty frequently for crafting - works great with certain dye ink techniques!

Me neither! Ironing is wayyyyy over rated, lol.
I am so glad to see I'm not the only one sans ironing board! LOL! I agree with Greta - it's way overrated!
Bwahahaha! We don't iron either. Just sprinkle a little water on it and toss it in the dryer. Works (most) of the time!
I do have an ironing board..and an Iron. Haven't used it yet

My Life, My Love and My Reality
Hummm... iron... a mineral... hummm... oh yes a crafting tool... no wait a minute... hummm... oh yeah, my husband irons... his shirts... so strange and he even asks me if I need anything ironed... yes, now I remember! My mom cured me of ironing... we always had a big basket of ironing to do... she would start then I would finish... I thought it really unfair that my mother the feminist (bio chemist when women were ladies and didn't do such things) never told my brother to iron. Yup. Iron, no way, not happening, did my share. Wrinkles are a sign of character... right?

oh my gosh
that is soo funny, i dont iron at all either
that is so funny alot of your husbands do the ironing! I've heard of such an occourance but it was many years ago in a land far away.
We lay alot of things out flat to dry.
When I was growing up ( I was raised by my grandma) EVERYTHING was ironed. She even ironed my t-shirts. I really didn't think it was cool to have a casual t-shirt have a crease in the sleeve.
Briana
that's too funny.
i don't iron much either, so it takes me a loooong time to iron anything. my mom can iron a shirt in a few minutes, but i swear it takes me at least 20 minutes. ha.
Ha! If it makes you feel better Julie, my son was scared to death of the mop and broom when he was about three...apparently I had never mopped when he was awake!
My dh does his own ironing. He taught my dd to do her own too!
